Main dish:
Carnitas tacos 🌮 with cilantro, onion and lime

Side dish:
Mexican rice

Sapodilla cheesecake

It’s been awhile but if I started doing prepared dinners again and delivery within reason or pickup🤭 whos down?! Im also open to requests for dinner themes. I’m thinking $15 a plate or $10 for a kids plate. If you order more than 4, I’ll give a discount.

Menu to kickoff, pick one from each category;

Main course:
Creamy Cajun pasta with smoked beef sausage or pasta Alfredo with smoked beef sausage

Side dishes:
Cajun corn or buttered corn or green beans

delivery fee of $2 if in nappanee, outside of town is $5-$10 depending how far ( $5 waky, new paris, $10 goehen, elkhart etc.)

Honey 🍯 peach cupcakes (4 for $6, dozen for $20)
Mini banana cream pies 🥧 ( 4 for $10)
French lemon posset ( 4 for $8)
Banana icebox cake ( 1/2 sheet pan $10, full sheet pan $15)
Key lime pie cake ( 1/2 for $6, or a whole cake for $10)
Coffee cake ( any of Bess bites original flavors, whole coffee cake for $15)
Raspberry lemon tiramisu ( 1/2 pan for $10, or a whole pan for $20
Strawberry mango cupcakes ( 6 for $10 or a dozen for $20)
Tres leches cupcakes in original or an original bess bites flavor ( strawberry, blueberry, mango, and churro etc. 1/2 pan for $15 or a whole pan for $25)
Brookie cookies( brownie and cookie dough and cookie pieces 🤤)( half dozen for $15, or a dozen for $20)
Peanut butter cups buckeyes (1/2 dozen for $5, dozen for $10)

Is this the kind of content you typically see from me? Not on this page at least. Spending the past few days in North Carolina in the Nantahala’s national forest atop the Smokey mountains is what I look forward to every year and I just returned home a few hours ago. With that being said, I’d love to say thank you all for all the support and love and i am so happy to have the ability to share with others my love of food.

You guys looking for a hearty dinner that doesn’t break the bank? We know everything is expensive so here’s a recipe that’ll have the whole family fed and the neighbors when they come over after smelling this cooking 🧑‍🍳 🤤

The simplest BEST baked Mac you’ll ever make! It gets asked for at all our family functions 🤤
-1 lb of elbow noodles cooked to al dente and drained.
- 2 blocks of cheese shredded (I use Colby jack and extra sharp cheddar)
- one can of evaporated milk
- about 3 tsp of garlic powder
- about 3 tsp of salt
- about 1 tsp of pepper
-2 tsp of cayenne pepper
* mix it all together in a large pan, mix half the cheese with the seasoning and milk and noodles and then top with the other half of the cheese. Bake at 375 for 20 mins, broil for 10 to get the top nice and bubbly and brown. SERVE AND ENJOY ☺️

Fresh Irish butter - for your everyday use

Cinnamon honey butter- delicious on rolls or biscuits

herbed butter- great on steaks and seafood

lemon and dill butter- absolutely awesome on fish

Cajun butter- great for cooking with or melting and using to dip your shrimp and crab into 🤤

BUTTERMILK, good for about 2 weeks while kept in fridge. $10

Buttermilk- about 3 cups of fresh buttermilk

I’m Dreaming of some warm pumpkin cake during this cold 🥶 day, how about you?

Halloweens over, it’s time to make all the pumpkin treats with the leftover jack o lanterns 🎃

PUMPKIN CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE ICING

Cake
-2 cups of flour
-1.5 cups of granulated sugar
-1 to 1.5 cups of pumpkin mash/purée
-1tsp of baking soda
-1.5 tsp of baking powder
-2tsp of pumpkin pie spice
-1 cup of oil
-3 large eggs
•bake at 350 for about 20 mins if doing a sheet cake, two round pans 350 for 15 mins

Icing
-2 cups of powdered sugar
-1/4 cup of water
-1 block of cream cheese
-2tsp of pumpkin pie spice
• use mixer with whisk to whip until fluffy and smooth

Check out your local small grocery stores!!! We’ve fallen in love with the daily bread in nappanee. This was $24.70, and all local FRESH produce and fresh sliced meat and cheese, and a huge bag of oats.

With some bread, we’ve got sandwiches and carrot sticks and cucumbers for lunch’s, oat meal or overnight oats ( I add coffee to my overnight oats) with some honey and milk for breakfast, and at the end of the week whatever isn’t used upof our meat, cheese and veggies, toss it together in a big sub sandwich style salad 🤤

With how prices on groceries are, let’s get the most
Bang for our buck and still take care of
Ourselves eating well and local to support those small businesses🫶🏼
