Welcome to the Capp Family Homstead! The Capp Family Farm is a homestead/small farm. May our roots be deep in Christ and our love be strong.

We are excited to share our lives with you where we can learn from each other on the challenges of managing a small homestead. Raising our kids to sustain and love the Lord. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

Short and sweet.

It’s work, but this never gets old.

🌫️🌄 Wow, what a magical morning in the hot tub! 📖 Soaking in my Bible study with my trusty waterproof Kindle, the fog rolled in SO thick I couldn’t even see the woods across the hill! 😮 My gut said, “Get out and explore!” So I wandered the property, soaking up the fall vibes—birds chirping, sandhill cranes calling, Canadian geese honking, and deer prancing through the mist. 🍂🦌 This is truly paradise! 😍 Check out these pics of nature’s fall transition in all its glory! What’s your favorite way to enjoy a crisp fall morning? Share below! ⬇️

🌅✨ Rise and shine, friends! My mornings just got a whole lot better! ☕ Used to love my Bible study in the hot tub with my phone, but I recently upgraded to a waterproof Amazon Kindle, and OMG, it’s a TOTAL game changer! 📖💦 Now I soak in the Word, sip my coffee, and soak up the chilly morning vibes with the fog rising around me. 😍 Nothing beats this peaceful routine! Anyone else love their hot tub mornings? Drop your favorite morning ritual below! ⬇️

Harvest season has been in full swing here on the homestead, and what a bountiful one it's been! 🤩 Between the amazing produce from our own garden and some absolutely lovely additions from our Amish neighbors, our kitchen has become a canning factory these past few weeks! We've been tirelessly chopping, simmering, and sealing, filling our pantry with jars of homemade salsa, sweet peaches, crunchy pickles, hearty chili mix, refreshing tomato juice, and so much more! Every jar is a little piece of summer's goodness, ready to enjoy all winter long. What's your favorite thing to can?

Our new hot tub has already delivered some unexpected entertainment! We were enjoying a relaxing soak, admiring the view, when we spotted our barn cat, Milo, adorably climbing a nearby tree. "Oh, how cute!" we thought, basking in our serene moment... until we realized his target wasn't just a scenic perch, but a very specific bird's nest, complete with baby bird! 😬

A quick-thinking soccer ball launched at the branch (no birds or cats harmed, just startled!) convinced him that tree-climbing wasn't so fun after all. Crisis averted, bird family safe, and a new homestead story for the books! 😂 Sometimes, nature needs a little human (and sporting equipment) intervention!

Well, you know how homesteading goes... you make plans, and then life (or rather, a hot tub opportunity) laughs at them! 😂 One of our "eventually" goals for relocating back to Michigan was a hot tub for those frosty winters. "Eventually" turned into "NOW" last month, leading to a scramble to level the ground, ensure sufficient drainage, establish a solid platform, and upgrade the electrical! The best part? This beauty has a direct view of our woods and hilly pasture by day, and come nightfall, it's a prime spot for spectacular stargazing. Who needs quiet weekends anyway? We're officially ready to soak through winter! 🥶➡️♨️🌌

Good morning from the homestead! ☀️ There's something truly divine about watching the sun burn off the morning fog in the pasture. In moments like these, God's presence is so beautifully known, painting the world with peace and light. What a blessed start to the day! 🙏

🌟 Gobble under the stars! 🌟 Check out our three fabulous turkeys striking a pose on the fence post, with the barn stealing the spotlight and a dazzling starry sky overhead! 😍 Who knew our feathered friends could be such night owls? 🦃✨ It's been a whirlwind on the farm lately, so our posts have been a bit scarce—sorry about that! But get ready, because we've got tons of exciting updates coming your way in the weeks and months ahead! 🚜🌾 Share your favorite farm moments below!
