What an adventure it’s been!

If it was up to me, I would have missed all of this.

I would have been a mom by 30, gladly setting down some of my biggest dreams to pursue what culture tells us to prioritize. Jenna a decade ago was always trying to simply blend in and not be the odd duck out.

Now, a few quick moons away from 40, Im grateful to be the one with a “different” looking life. ✨

People who are parents tell me at least weekly that my experience of love is lacking because they don’t see toddlers on my ankles…but the truth is my life is full of love daily, it’s just not in the form of a mini-me. 🙃 Being willing to be occasionally placed as an outcast among other women, has truly landed me a Jackpot Life.

The verse was…“blend in to social norms to prove you are worthy to a fallen society.” - kidding!! Jesus teaches us “do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” 🤍

Stewarding life in all seasons is such a beautiful way to live surrendered to the Spirit.

Grateful for a King who loves, guides, and stewards my heart, and that I get to love and steward his creatures. 🤍

Foraging* (thank you spell checkers!) is the last job that bees have at the end of their lifespan. The foragers are the oldest - and they will die in duty trying to bring home groceries for the rest of their sisters.

The hive smells like a goldmine of delicious food to many many insects beyond bees. The Guard bees know which are their sisters vs other bees (unwelcome).

I do love a good momentary bee battle on the front steps 😅 After their shift as Guard bees for a few days, they take to foraging next.

In the fall, the population is dwindling, and Undertakers are busy thanking the dead bees for their service and getting them removed from the hive.

By Faith Farm is an incredible patch of land in Joelton that grows food and gives it away to people facing food insecurity.
I’m so grateful to tend to their bees, and occasionally with the harvest.

Yesterday, I joined other volunteers to get beans, tomatoes, and peppers picked and ready for delivery to the Nashville Food Project and other partners for distribution to people in need.

We can all take action in some way to love a stranger. 🤍

If you aren’t baking with ADY yet- why not?!

Same low/minimal ingredients, same fresh baked aroma and taste- even faster, even more last minute, and I swear the texture is easier to work with for things like pita, English muffins, bagels, and pizza.

Join me this winter for some one on one baking time! Or 2 on 1 if you want to bring a friend. Our hands-on Bread sessions are some of my favorite times! I love watching it connect for people, when they realize just how easy this is to do at home.

Sometimes, we all need a little confidence boost. I’m glad to help bring your knowledge and skill up a few steps so your holiday meals are blessed with homemade breads!
