Bourbon Heritage Month means a little more when your story dates back to 1878.

Born from the vision of Sperry Wade & Company in Nashville, Belle Meade Bourbon quickly earned a following. By 1881, The Nashville Banner wrote that the brand “daily grows in popularity and public favor,” with demand becoming increasingly difficult to keep pace with.

That momentum was tested when the original distillery burned down, but the story didn’t end there. Production continued through a local distilling partner until statewide Prohibition brought it to a halt in 1909.

More than a century later, Belle Meade Bourbon returned with the same intention that shaped its earliest days: to create a bourbon worthy of the name and the history behind it.

Tested by fire. Tempered by time. This Bourbon Heritage Month, we’re proud to carry a Tennessee story nearly 150 years in the making forward.
