How about a delicious burger, featuring gorgeous sesame seed buns from our friends at Birch Family Farm?

Garnished with lettuce leaves, my homemade pickles, condiments of choice, slice of cheese. Add sweet potato fries and some roasted veggies and weeknight dinner is done!

MEALTIME INSPIRATION: It's salad season again! Nothing better than topping these SalanovaTM salad greens--8 different types of leaves! Red and green times oak, butter, curly, and frisée--with other fresh veg from our garden!

I get pretty excited when there is a bag of lettuce left for me to create something delicious with. And check out the purple color on those radishes! They are from the Easter egg variety we are growing.

Don't be afraid to whip up your own vinaigrette, too! An easy recipe that is one of my go-tos:
1/4c olive oil
1 t. Dijon mustard
Juice of a lemon
Lemon zest
1 T. fresh thyme leaves
Salt and ground pepper to taste
Finely minced garlic or onion is optional
I've been using our leeks

Use an immersion blender to make it thick and frothy. If you don't use it all, it will store a few days in a glass jars in the fridge.

Full disclosure: the tomatoes I get at Sam's Club until ours come in. ~H

Mother's Day is not the same for everyone. Not by a long shot. I see those of you who might struggle with the day for whatever reason. I've had my own struggles with it, partly because when my own mother passed, it was the week before Mothers Day. For many years I was not interested in celebrating it at all.

In recent years, I've come back around. And yesterday was one of the best for many reasons. Our Farmers Market really embraces the day and tries to make it special for everyone. Our friends at One Tree Farm helped make my day a lot more delicious, too! I mean, tangy, creamy lemon curd AND sweet, spongy blueberry muffins? Yes, please!! ~H

Thinking about you ladies! One Tree Farm CrystalMoon’s Farm

Perfect complements! Lemon curd (that I froze part of) and Raspberry jam. I always grab one of those big tins of shortbread before the holidays, because the texture on theirs is so much better and there are many other things to bake! And because I am a nerd for their tins.

The slightly sweet, slightly tart profile of the curd and jam really bring the shortbread to life. Add it to your breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea, night snack--whatever strikes your fancy. 10/10 recommend. Yummmmmm💗😘🍋🍓✨️
