You will be missed

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Scott “Scoot” Booth. Scott wasn’t just someone who worked in this community — he was part of the fabric of it. Many of us knew him since he was a teenager, and even back then he carried the same traits he was known for his whole life: dependable, straight-forward, hardworking, and loyal to the core.

Scott gave everything he had to his trade. For more than 40 years, he showed up every single day and did his job with pride. He never asked for attention, never made a fuss, and never once cut corners. He took care of the people who walked through the door, and he took care of the people he worked beside. You always knew you could count on him. That kind of devotion is rare.

Outside of work, Scott was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, his bikes, and always had a project going — but nothing meant more to him than his family. He was a quiet man to some, but to those who knew him, his actions said everything.

There truly aren’t enough words to describe what Scott meant to the people here or how deeply he’ll be missed. He was one of the good ones — the kind you don’t replace.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Booth family and to everyone who loved him.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 15th at 4:30 PM at Wood Funeral Home in Tuckerton, with a gathering beginning at 2:00 PM. All are welcome to come honor his life.

They risk their lives so we can make it home to ours. That’s true courage, and we’re beyond grateful. 🙏🇺🇸
