Calving season is one of my favorite times of the year. You have momma cows who let you love on their babies and photo bomb you. 😉
Then you have those mommas who you don’t dare call their bluff. 😜
They are animals, so you respect them as such! My favorite momma calved today, it’ll take a day or two to find out what she had. But the baby is up and full of energy! Fingers crossed for a heifer…… any guesses?!?!

🐮 Cattle grow a winter hair that traps heat

🐮 Their hide and fat layer provide a natural insulation
