Friends and followers

I appreciate your patience so much!!! My wedding is just shy of two weeks away so it is chaos over here.

Those on my White Call Duck hatching egg list I haven't forgotten! I don't expect eggs from them until next year.

The rest of my birds are all on a break but as soon as they're laying consistently (and fertility is checked) I'll be posting what's available.

I have so many awesome projects coming that I cannot wait to share with you all.

You know, I think my favorite time of year isn’t even necessarily a particular season (spooky season, obviously…) I think I really just love these liminal spaces in between seasons. I love the onset of fall and spring in particular. Knowing that I’m about to experience a break after the brutality of our Florida Summers and any resemblance of Winter…. I love the shift in the air and even the daylight hours. I find comfort in the familiar transition. It reminds me that there is a season for everything and that “this too shall pass”…

Paying attention to natural cycles such as the changing of the seasons, the lunar cycles, the life cycles in my animals, and so on has has really helped me to develop faith in something so far beyond my understanding.

I’m really grateful for the opportunity to notice and experience such things. ☺️

I’m a wife, mom of three boys, hairstylist of 20 years, and first-year homeschool mom to my youngest, William. 📚

I’m an introvert who somehow decided talking to strangers on the internet was a good hobby. I love reading, thrifting, Christmas, whimsical woodland things, and apparently collecting homeschool curriculum.

Our homeschool is eclectic, a little Charlotte Mason-ish, and very much “follow the rabbit trail and see where it takes us.” 🐇

Around here I share curriculum we love (and occasionally regret buying ), thrifted finds, field trips, working-mom homeschool life, and all the imperfect figuring-it-out along the way.

Basically: ginger hairstylist turned homeschool mom with too many books and a slight fairy problem. 🧚🏻‍♀️

Hey everyone!!

I'm sorry I haven't been active and am trying to get back to messages on here and my personal account.

We just got home from Illinois! My oldest graduated from Navy bootcamp 9/3

Nothing prepares you for the moment your child is now truly off on their own 😭

We are so proud of him and the wonderful young man he is growing into

I hugged him goodbye today and now he's off for 6 months of training

As we’re heading into fall, I wanted to put out is this up to date breed and price list.

I do not currently have full availability, but as everybody comes back into laying, these will be the breeds offered and the price point per dozen of eggs.

For the time being I primarily have Multi-Generational Olive dozens heading out along side “hens choice” dozens that are consisting of some variation of BCMs, Olives, Ameraucanas and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. These dozens are being offered on a first come first serve basis through Patreon first and then on Facebook an Instagram. I’m not able to offer any other whole dozens at this time. I also do not have any silver Welsummer eggs going out right now.

Additionally, I’ve been continuing to update my albums on Facebook to include a good variety of both my breeding flocks as well as offspring and eggs produced by each.

Please also take note that beginning October 1st, 2026 I’ll be setting aside $10 from each dozen of eggs sold to purchase needed items that I’ll donate to our local domestic violence shelter. I really admire the work that Savannah has been doing in her community, and when I saw a flyer about our local shelter in the library, I was so excited to have found somewhere that I could also give back. This is an area that is very close to my heart, and I’m very grateful to have found a way to be of service in some capacity in my own community!

One of the biggest things I’ve had to learn is that homeschool doesn’t have to look like the school I grew up in. 🌿

We can do our math lesson, fill out our language arts pages…and then spend an hour reading a great book, talking about history, wandering outside looking at something we found, or following a completely unexpected rabbit trail.

It all counts.

And honestly, that freedom is becoming one of my favorite parts of homeschooling. 🤍
