BREAD CRUMBS

✨Trust the Rise✨

There is a part of sourdough that asks you to believe in something you cannot yet see.

You mix flour, water, salt and starter. You fold it. You cover it.

And then… you wait.

For a while, it can look like absolutely nothing is happening.

But beneath the surface, the dough is changing.

I think we have seasons like that too.

We do the healing. Set the boundary. Start the practice. Choose differently. Rest. Begin again.

And then wonder why we don’t feel transformed yet.

But not all growth announces itself while it’s happening.

Sometimes the most important work is taking place quietly — before there is anything visible to show for it.

Sourdough taught me that I don’t need to keep opening the bowl every five minutes to make sure the process is working.

Sometimes I just need to tend to what I can…

and trust the rise.

This week’s Bread Crumb:
Where in your life are you being asked to trust something that hasn’t become visible yet?

Put a hand over your heart and one over your belly. Take one slow breath and notice what happens when, just for a moment, you stop trying to make anything happen.

Maybe nothing needs to be forced today. 🤍

The ultimate cosmic rise! 🌌🍞

Happy Lions Gate Portal 8-8

The universe told me to manifest today, so naturally, I manifested the perfect oven spring and blisters on this beautiful loaf. 🦁✨They say this portal brings intense, fiery energy, but I’m just using it to get that perfect golden crust. Are your intentions set for today, or are you just here for the bread? (No judgment either way!) 🥖❤️

There is something so magical about blending the ancient art of sourdough with the cosmic energy of the universe. What are you manifesting today? Let’s rise together! 👇✨

There is something sacred about baking by the light of a full moon 🌕 🦌

The Buck Moon reminds us that nature doesn’t cling to what it’s outgrown. It releases…and grows back stronger.

So tonight, I’m releasing the old stories, the old fears, and the version of myself that no longer fits.

Release what is heavy.
Keep what nourishes you.
Trust what is rising.

Just like sourdough…
Some of the most beautiful transformations happen slowly.

May your heart be lighter tomorrow than it was today.

Saturn Retrograde:
The Slow Fermentation of the Soul 🪐⏳✨

Wait, you mean to tell me we just survived (barely) Mercury retrograde only to jump right into Saturn retrograde? In the sign of Aries nonetheless, and guess who’s an Aries…. Yup, ya girl here 😅. Thankfully Saturn retrogrades aren’t quite as intense.

Right now, Saturn—the planet of structure, discipline, boundaries, and time—is spinning in retrograde. When the cosmic taskmaster slows down, it asks us to do the exact same thing: pause, review our foundations, and look closely at what we are building.

For a long time, I resisted Saturn’s energy. It can feel heavy, restrictive, and demanding, especially sitting in my 1st house which is all about self identity. But if sourdough has taught me anything, it’s that structure is where the magic lives.

You cannot bypass the rules of fermentation. You need the boundaries of the mixing bowl. You need the discipline of the temperature check. You need the slow, cold rest in the fridge to build the strength required for that beautiful oven spring.
Without Saturn’s structure, the dough completely collapses.

To align with this retrograde energy, I’ve brought three specific crystal allies to my baking table today:

* 🖤 Black Obsidian: To ground our energy and protect our boundaries as we restructure our daily routines.
* 🩵 Agate: To keep the nervous system calm, steady, and resilient while practicing necessary self-discipline.
* 🤍 Clear Quartz: To bring absolute clarity to our long-term intentions.

Healing your foundation as a busy parent, a business owner, or a spiritual seeker doesn’t happen in a frantic rush. It happens when you embrace the slow, deliberate work of mastering your craft and anchoring your roots.

Let the cosmic pressure fade away today. Trust the boundaries you are setting for your peace. 🌾

🍞 No pre orders this week as I will be traveling over the weekend, but orders will open up Monday August 3rd!

Fun fact! 🤎

Did you know that when you bake a loaf of wild sourdough, you are practicing an ancient form of culinary alchemy that dates back thousands of years to ancient Egypt?

Ancient Egyptians are widely credited with discovering naturally fermented bread when wild yeast caused dough to rise on its own. What may have started as an accident became one of the world’s oldest baking traditions—and we’re still using that same beautiful process today.

The ancient Egyptians didn’t view baking as a basic chore—they viewed it as a living process. Bread was so vital to their society that it was used as currency, offered to the gods in temples, and celebrated for its rich history.

When you watch your starter bubble, shape your dough, or pull a beautifully blistered loaf out of your oven, you aren’t just making food. You are stepping right into a closed time-loop of human history. You are tapping into an ancient, grounded rhythm.

It’s amazing to think that every bubbly starter carries on a story that began thousands of years ago.

Sourdough is a reminder that the most nourishing things in life cannot be manufactured, rushed, or bypassed with shortcuts. They require time, nature, and deep intention.Next time you take a bite, remember the lineage you hold in your hands. 🍞🪐

Mercury Retrograde is wrapping up... let’s talk about the messy side of business. 🌀⛈️👇

The internet will tell you to panic when Mercury goes retrograde. But in reality, it’s just a giant cosmic pause button forcing us to slow down, review, and look at the fine print of our lives. This past week hit my microbakery with the ultimate retrograde test. Between running late, a few frustrating baking mishaps, and mismanaging my time, things went completely sideways. I ended up coming home from my last market with a mountain of extra unsold loaves.

As an overworked single mom trying to build a full-time dream on top of a demanding day job, my immediate response was to spiral into guilt. Sourdough only stays fresh for a few days, and throwing out hard work cuts deep. But then I took a breath. Retrogrades aren’t here to break us—they are here to realign us.The lesson? I needed a better prep schedule. Instead of rushing, I’m using this energy to completely restructure how I run my weeks.

Pre-orders will now open on Mondays and close Wednesdays, packaging gets prepped on Thursdays, and baking stays sacred on Saturdays. Out of a chaotic weekend, a better business model was born.

🌾✨We are officially clearing the shadow period tomorrow. If your week has felt like an uphill battle of delays and tech glitches, consider this your reminder to stop forcing things. Treat your mishaps as adjustments, trust the timing of your life, and keep moving forward.Did this retrograde throw any unexpected curveballs your way this week? Let’s vent and realign in the comments.
