BREAD CRUMBS
✨Trust the Rise✨
There is a part of sourdough that asks you to believe in something you cannot yet see.
You mix flour, water, salt and starter. You fold it. You cover it.
And then… you wait.
For a while, it can look like absolutely nothing is happening.
But beneath the surface, the dough is changing.
I think we have seasons like that too.
We do the healing. Set the boundary. Start the practice. Choose differently. Rest. Begin again.
And then wonder why we don’t feel transformed yet.
But not all growth announces itself while it’s happening.
Sometimes the most important work is taking place quietly — before there is anything visible to show for it.
Sourdough taught me that I don’t need to keep opening the bowl every five minutes to make sure the process is working.
Sometimes I just need to tend to what I can…
and trust the rise.
This week’s Bread Crumb:
Where in your life are you being asked to trust something that hasn’t become visible yet?
Put a hand over your heart and one over your belly. Take one slow breath and notice what happens when, just for a moment, you stop trying to make anything happen.
Maybe nothing needs to be forced today. 🤍
