🍞 Bread Crumbs:

It Was Supposed to Be a Pumpkin.

I had a vision.

A beautiful pumpkin-shaped sourdough loaf. Cozy fall vibes. An aesthetic little video. Very Loaf & Love in October. 🎃

I spent way too much time setting everything up, shaping the dough, tying it perfectly, filming all the little clips…

And then I opened the oven.

Apparently my pumpkin had other plans. 🍆😭🤣

And after I stopped laughing, I realized this was probably a better video than the perfect one I had planned.

Because how often do we decide something was a failure simply because it didn’t look the way we imagined it would?

We picture the outcome.
We put in the work.
We expect it to unfold a certain way.

And when it doesn’t, our first instinct is: I messed it up.

But this loaf still rose.
It still baked beautifully.
It still tastes like bread.

It just isn’t the pumpkin I had in my head.

Maybe some of the things we call failures aren’t failures at all.

Maybe they’re just reminders that we don’t get to control exactly how everything takes shape.

Sometimes you make the pumpkin.
Sometimes the pumpkin humbles you. 🤣
