Sometimes showing up means
knowing when to step back. ❤️

What happened this week has been devastating, and it’s hard to look around at what some of our neighbors are dealing with and carry on like it’s just another weekend.

So we’re going to sit this Saturday’s farmers market out.

If you were planning on grabbing a $5 drink from us, please give that $5 to someone who needs it right now. There are families who could use every bit of help they can get.

A few places helping:

🤍 Henry County Trustees — accepting needed supplies at 205 S. 21st St. in New Castle. Check the Henry County Health Department page for current needs.

🤍 Central United Methodist Church, Richmond — collecting flood-relief supplies for Western Wayne County. Check Wayne County Emergency Management Agency for current needs.

🤍 Cambridge City Christian Church — accepting donations and helping coordinate relief and volunteers. Check out Cambridge City Christian Church page for updates.

🤍 Wayne County Cares Fund — accepting financial donations for communities affected by the flooding. More info at Wayne County, Indiana, Foundation.

And to the first responders, volunteers, churches, businesses, organizations, and neighbors who have been jumping in wherever they’re needed: thank you. Seeing people come together like this matters. ❤️

The Henry Co. Farmers Market is still happening tomorrow, so if you’re able to go, please support the vendors who are there. We hope they have a great Saturday.

We’ve been working on something behind the scenes for a few weeks… ☕️👀

Iced Café Cubano.

A little taste of my Cuban heritage, inspired by the cafecito stands in Miami where strong, sweet Cuban coffee is part of everyday life. ❤️

Traditionally served hot, Café Cubano is bold, concentrated, and sweet. We’re putting our own Pop Culture spin on it by serving it over ice, with flavors like Dulce de Leche. 🤎

Should we add it to the Pop Culture menu this week? 👀

Weekend Update 💛

Pop Culture won’t be at the farmers market this Saturday.

With school starting back up and a busy season ahead, we’re taking the weekend to catch up behind the scenes and recharge.

Thank you so much for supporting our little family business this summer. We should be back at the market next weekend, and we can’t wait to see everyone again! 🥤💛

What a Saturday. 🩷

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a drink on Saturday! Whether you’re one of our regulars or finally decided to stop by after hearing about us, we’re so thankful you gave us a try.

One of our favorite parts of the morning was watching people take that first sip… then seeing some of you finish your drink right in front of us. 😂 A few of you even came back for another one, which is about the biggest compliment we could ask for.

We loved seeing so many of you walking around the market with a cup of our snack mix. We ended the day with just three cups left, and they didn’t last long once we got home. 😂 We’re already in the kitchen testing fun new mixes, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

We’ve also been working behind the scenes on something a little different, and if everything comes together this week, we’re hoping to have it ready for this Saturday’s market. We think you’re going to love it. 👀

One thing we realized this weekend is that we don’t take nearly enough pictures! 😂 These market mornings go by so fast, and we’d love to have more memories to look back on. So don’t be surprised if we ask to snap a quick photo while you’re enjoying your drink!

What a week. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out and grabbed a drink from us last week, whether you stopped by our booth at L&K Produce on Wednesday or visited us at the Henry Co. Farmers Market on Saturday. Last week was one for the books, and we’re still blown away by the support.

It’s hard to believe it’s only been 2 months. In that time, we’ve done 9 events, served hundreds of drinks, welcomed so many returning customers, and we’re getting close to 400 followers. With each event, we’re getting a little faster, a little more organized, and a little more confident.

If you’ve stopped by our booth, you’ve probably met our daughter, Sophia. She’s usually the first one to greet you, take your order, answer your questions, and of course, serve as our unofficial DJ.

The story behind Pop Culture actually starts with her.

When she told us she wanted to go to school for business, we couldn’t have been more proud. We thought, what better way to learn than by building something together? That’s how Pop Culture came to life.

She’s learning so much more than how to make drinks. She’s learning about customer service, inventory, food costs, pricing, logistics, marketing, problem solving, and all of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into running a small business.

It’s been so much fun watching how much she’s learned over the last two months. We couldn’t be more proud of the young woman she’s becoming, and we’re so thankful that so many of you have encouraged her along the way. ❤️

We’ll be back at the Henry County Farmers Market this Saturday from 8:00 AM to Noon. We hope to see you there!
