❗ Glenwood Pickup Canceled Tonight ❗

We want to sincerely apologize, but we will not be doing mushroom pickup in Glenwood tonight. We wanted to make sure to get this information to everyone. There have been multiple accidents throughout the day, and with the weather continuing to come in, road safety is a real concern.

We’d rather keep everyone safe than risk traveling in dangerous conditions.
Thank you all for understanding!

🎬 Behind the Scenes: Improving Our Fruiting Method

Sometimes small changes make a big difference.

We noticed some of our best-producing bags were actually too strong. The mushrooms would grow so heavily forward that they’d tip over, damaging both the flush and the block itself. We tried several different ways to keep the blocks upright, with no luck. That meant lost product and no chance at a second fruiting. 😬

So, we tested something new…

👉 We kept the fruiting window exactly the same,
👉 but instead of standing the bags upright, we lay them on their side.

The result?
💥 Full, beautiful flushes
💥 Far less loss
💥 Healthier blocks that can go for round two!

Sometimes nature just needs a slight shift in perspective 🍄💡

🍄✨ CoalTooth Mushrooms – Crispy, Golden, and Irresistible!

Holiday’s are always a great time to try a different dish, or experiment with something a little different. We ourselves tried out something a little new in the kitchen, beer-battered Coraltooth mushrooms! 😋

These mushrooms already have a slightly sweet, delicate flavor, and the light tempura-style batter takes them to the next level. They turned into a yummy dish, crispy on the outside, tender and meaty inside.

A quick dip in a simple beer batter, a few minutes in hot oil, and you’ve got yourself a plate of pure comfort food. So filling, so satisfying, and so hard to stop eating!

Nature’s version of comfort food at its finest. 💛

This whole haul came from one morning in our fruiting room — just look at all those beauties! 🍄
Oysters (Summer White, Italian, Winter White, and Blue), Trumpets, Lion’s Mane, and Black Kings — all fresh, vibrant, and ready to star in your next delicious recipe. 👩‍🍳✨

We recently wrapped up the summer season with Peach Valley Community Supported Agriculture!

It’s been such a wonderful experience partnering with them, and we’re already looking forward to working together again next year. To celebrate the end of the season, they did something a little special — and that meant 14 lbs of beautiful Chestnut mushrooms! 🍄
