2. What’s your business or side hustle called, and what do you offer?
•••••”Studio 114. Offering hair services, massage therapy and small boutique within the salon”
3. Who are you outside of work? (Mom, traveler, chaos coordinator, plant whisperer, etc.)
•••••”Outside of work I’m a mom and wife and a nap queen”
4. How did your business get started? Give us the short version of your origin story.
•••••”After working for other people for years it was just time to do my own thing. Everything just slowly fell into place.”
5. What made you finally take the leap and go for it?
•••••”My faith always helps with the big leaps, and support from my husband.”

6. What’s one part of your business you absolutely love doing?
•••••”I love doing hair and the connections I make with clients and customers”
7. What’s a task you wish you could delegate forever?
•••••”I would absolutely give away the laundry task any day- all the sheets and towels 😱”
8. What’s something most people don’t realize about your industry or what you do?
•••••”People don’t realize it’s actually 24/7 with all the calls and messages about appointments, keeping up with laundry, keeping salon stocked and ordering and displaying on boutique side as well”
9. What’s the most unexpected skill you’ve had to learn as a business owner?
•••••”Time management”
10. What’s a moment that made you stop and say, “I’m really doing this”?
•••••”When I was able to purchase the salon this summer!”

11. What motivates you to keep showing up — even when it’s hard?
•••••”My clients and customers! I love them all!
12. How do you stay inspired or get re-centered when you’re feeling stuck?”
•••••”just stepping back from the extras for a minute and then jumping back in with a coffee in hand lol”
13. What’s a business mantra or quote that’s stuck with you?
•••••”To be successful you have to have your heart in your business and and your business in your heart”
14. What’s something your business has taught you about yourself?
•••••”I CAN do this! Also, sometimes I care wayyy too much.”
15. What’s a boundary you’ve had to learn to set in business (or life)?
•••••”I don’t have to be available 24/7. My family comes first.”

16. What are you working on right now that you’re really excited about?
•••••”Doing some updates at the salon, and new faces will be joining the salon crew soon.”
17. What’s a big goal you’re manifesting or working toward next?
•••••”Getting our name out there, having more boutique traffic and watching all the new faces in the salon grow their business.”

•••••”Just still growing and thriving ❤️”

💬 FINAL REFLECTION
20. What advice would you give to another woman just starting out? (Or something you wish someone had told you sooner.)
•••••”Realistically, customers and clients will become supporters quicker than family and friends will become clients and customers. Just keep doing you! Don’t wait for the support! If you have a goal or dream just go for it and the rest will come. And always keep your heart in it, don’t make it just about the money. Make it about your passion, the honesty and the friendships along the way”
