Let us introduce ourselves Adrienne Wells and Leah Broussard born and raised in South Louisiana, Cajun culture has always been a part of our roots. While one of us grew up in a family that didn’t cook much Cajun food, Leah was raised around it. Spending time at friends’ and family’s homes, gathered around plates of rice and gravy and other South Louisiana favorites, sparked a love for the food and traditions that bring people together.
Over the years, we learned, practiced, and perfected the Cajun recipes we loved, eventually cooking for family gatherings, special occasions, and community events. In 2019, we were invited to join a cooking team and compete in the World Championship Gumbo Cookoff right here in our hometown. That experience lit a fire in us. We discovered how much we loved not only cooking Cajun food, but sharing it with others.
That passion led us to create our own cooking team, SOUTHERN KAJUN HEAT. Since then, we’ve continued competing, serving our community, supporting charities, and sharing the flavors of South Louisiana wherever we go.
Now we’re taking that passion to the next level with our very own seasoning created from the same love, tradition, and Cajun spirit we put into every pot we cook.
