The habit that makes you healthier isn't complicated.

It's keeping real food within reach. Every day.

Farm members don't eat perfectly. They just make real food easier to choose — and it changes everything.

Cindy said it this way:
"𝘉𝘩đ˜Ș𝘯𝘹 đ˜Șđ˜Żđ˜”đ˜łđ˜°đ˜„đ˜¶đ˜€đ˜Šđ˜„ đ˜”đ˜° 𝘳𝘩𝘱𝘭, đ˜©đ˜Šđ˜ąđ˜đ˜”đ˜©đ˜ș 𝘧𝘱𝘳𝘼 đ˜§đ˜°đ˜°đ˜„ đ˜Žđ˜Šđ˜·đ˜Šđ˜łđ˜ąđ˜ đ˜ș𝘩𝘱𝘳𝘮 𝘱𝘹𝘰 đ˜©đ˜ąđ˜Ž đ˜”đ˜°đ˜”đ˜ąđ˜đ˜đ˜ș đ˜€đ˜©đ˜ąđ˜Żđ˜šđ˜Šđ˜„ 𝘼đ˜ș 𝘾𝘱đ˜ș 𝘰𝘧 đ˜”đ˜©đ˜Ș𝘯𝘬đ˜Ș𝘯𝘹 đ˜ąđ˜Łđ˜°đ˜¶đ˜” đ˜žđ˜©đ˜ąđ˜” 𝘐 đ˜±đ˜¶đ˜” đ˜Ș𝘯 𝘼đ˜ș đ˜Łđ˜°đ˜„đ˜ș. đ˜đ˜°đ˜°đ˜„ đ˜”đ˜ąđ˜Žđ˜”đ˜Šđ˜Ž đ˜Łđ˜Šđ˜”đ˜”đ˜Šđ˜ł, đ˜ąđ˜Żđ˜„ 𝘾𝘩 𝘱𝘳𝘩 đ˜©đ˜Šđ˜ąđ˜đ˜”đ˜©đ˜Ș𝘩𝘳!"

That's what membership is about.

Not placing one giant order.

Not trying to be perfect.

Just making it easier to keep choosing the food you already want your family to eat.

Maybe one week it's eggs, milk, sourdough, ground beef, and a few vegetables.

Another week, it's yogurt, greens, fruit, a roast, or an easy meal from the General Store Café.

You still choose the food you want. You're not locked into a predetermined box.

You're simply making real food easier to fit into your life.

🌍 Why do you choose local food?

For many of us, it’s not just about taste—it’s about supporting a sustainable food system and protecting the planet. Eating local means reducing the carbon footprint of food transportation, supporting small-scale farmers, and keeping dollars within the community. When you buy local, you’re also helping to protect the land and preserve the environment.

But it’s not just about sustainability—it’s also about health. Local food is fresher, more nutrient-dense, and free from harmful chemicals and preservatives. Want to see what we’re harvesting this week?

This fall, as routines pick up and meals move indoors, how does eating local align with your values?

My farm kids disappeared after breakfast.

The house was silent.

I knew the older kids had headed to the field to get their assignments from Andrés and get to work.

But my 5- and 8-year-olds?

Nowhere.

And worse... their morning chores weren't done.

Then I found them.

Out in the green bean patch. 💚

Well, the 5-year-old had already given up and followed me back to the kitchen. 😂 But "Pip-Squeak" stayed behind, happily filling his basket—and snacking on green beans while he picked.

That's the thing about first-picking green beans... they're so tender and sweet that even an 8-year-old would rather eat them straight from the field than head back inside.

Watching our kids work alongside the farm crew, learning responsibility and taking pride in what they're harvesting, is one of the greatest blessings of family farming.

And you're part of that story, too. Every time you choose food from a family farm, you're supporting something bigger than a meal—you're helping the next generation grow right alongside it.

🍮 What’s better than fresh, flavorful food grown with care and intention?

Local food just tastes better — there’s no question about it! When you eat something picked within 1–2 days, you experience the real taste of what’s in season.

There’s something special about the crispness of freshly harvested lettuce, the sweetness of vine-ripened tomatoes, or the depth of flavor in roasted squash and carrots. đŸ„ŹđŸ…đŸ„•

Many store-bought foods are bred for durability, not taste, and often lack the full flavor you get from food grown locally. đŸŒŸ Local food is grown for quality, not shelf life — which means you’re getting something that’s at its best right now.

“How do I make this super easy?”

That’s what one busy mom and grandma asked when she joined our farm.

She wanted to support local food—but needed something simple. Her weekends are packed with travel to see her grandbabies, and sometimes she can’t even get online to order.

So here’s how we made it work for her:
✅ She joined the Essential CSA — lower order minimums.
✅ Subscribed to Farmer’s Favorites (Large) — our best in-season box that 90% of members keep year-round.
✅ Added a Greens subscription — because “I can always use healthy greens.”

Now, even when she’s traveling, her cart fills automatically with organically grown food—no stress, no missed boxes, just real nourishment delivered every week.

Most moms think healthy eating means hours reading labels and driving to five different stores. I used to think that too — until my kids’ health issues opened my eyes.

The truth? The healthiest food doesn’t even have labels. It comes straight from local farms who care about soil health and raising animals right. đŸŒŸ

Once you find the right farmers, everything gets simpler. You don’t have to decode “natural flavors” or wonder what’s really inside your food. You just know your farmer — and they’ll even teach you how to cook it.

That’s why we created the Market Box CSA: a weekly farm box that connects you directly with the people who grow your food. đŸ„•

Customize your box each week with the pasture-raised meats and chemical-free vegetables your family loves. No more label reading required.

đŸ„• A little patience, a lot of hard work, and a bed full of beautiful carrots!

Walking the farm at dusk is one of my favorite parts of the week. The air cools, the light softens, and every row tells a story.

Last night, while Farmer Reuben inspected the beds, I found them—a full bed of beautiful, ferny carrots, finally ready!

Andrés and the crew put in weeks of soil preparation, careful hand weeding, and even a simple electric fence to keep the deer from getting to the carrots first. It worked!

These carrots are a true labor of love, and this week, we get to share the reward. ❀

Good food takes patience, persistence, and a few creative ideas.

There’s something about pumpkin pie baking in the oven that makes the whole house feel like fall, isn’t there? 🍂

Here’s my secret for the perfect pie — silky, rich, and never watery:
✹ Start with real roasted pumpkin (or butternut squash — it’s smoother, sweeter, and easier to handle).
✹ Drain your purĂ©e for an hour or two in a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. You’ll be amazed how much liquid comes out—and how that one step transforms your pie from soupy to luscious.
✹ Use real farm cream. The cream that rises to the top of our milk makes the most luxurious pumpkin pie filling you’ve ever tasted.

It’s worth grabbing two gallons on special this week—one for baking, one for drinking. đŸ„›

Because when you bake with real ingredients from the farm, you can taste the difference in every bite.
