Well it looks like Melissa made a splash with the Terri & Sandy agency because they brought her back on board the Princess Cruises - Love Boat for another run of the classic theme song. But this time they were set a course for adventure with Emmy award winning actress Hannah Waddingham who sang the hell out of this classic theme song. Melissa and Storefront Music worked hard on the music arrangement in finding the right vibe for Hannah to sing over. I stumbled upon this fun Sound Design I did for Tennents Beer back in the day. Michael Levine is the composer and he asked me to sound design it for him. He came back in the morning and this is what he got. I’m even the voice of the mosquito. of course with a little help from a harmonizer my voice was still young enough to do this. Thankfully he was impressed to show the client.

Now our client happened to be Blue Sky with Chris Wedge and a young Carlos Saldanha was the animator. Who would have known these dudes would blow up to be a much bigger deal with you know, Rio, Ferdinand, Ice Age and all those awesome movies they produced. I have to say I am forever grateful for had been the start of my career. At this time Music and Sound Design had a broad scope to work with and working with these people made it all worth the long days (and nights) it took to create this and many more.

In honor of Black History Month, Listen Jane would like to share a throwback to a powerful short advertising film called “The Talk”.

There are so many amazing people involved in this including our own Melissa Chester as executive music producer. A big shout out to composer Julie Piker at Pulse Music for her beautiful score. This film won a Cannes Lion Film Grand Prix and an Emmy!
