Even on vacation, in the middle of the ocean, do I still continue to get involved with baking 😅Battle of the Cake Master featured on the Norwegian Cruise - the challenge? Frost and decorate a Black Forest cake. Winner kept the cake and my chef hat signed was by Carlos, the master baking chef of the ship. Funny enough, it was also my mom’s birthday so the cake was a pleasant and unexpected surprise for her too.

Pink, gold and “creative freedom” was all the instruction I needed. Marble sheet cake with vanilla butter cream, a shimmer of edible gold, wafer flowers, and some butterfly toppers, this cake (and cupcakes) was well on its way to celebrate a birthday.
