Bo Bun Hue Noodle Soup | Panang Chicken

I ordered the bo bun hue, a spicy beef rice noodle soup with pork knuckle, slices of beef and chả. t was piping hot when it came out in a huge bowl, full of meat, and spices. So good, would highly recommend.

The Panang Chicken a Thai dish, thus this dish had a Vietnamese-Malaysian flavor to it fused with jalapeño. Was very flavorful and spicy but a bit different from authentic Panang Chicken in my opinion.

Agra Thali

We visited newly opened Jodphur Restaurant, a vegetarian restaurant that serves Thali's. They have a fixed menu for the day. You go in, get seated and they keep serving you food with unlimited refills. Good service with consistent and regular refills for all items. Most items served were not spicy. That being said, taste wise, most of the items lacked a punch in terms of seasoning or flavors. Would definitely recommend this place to someone who has never experienced eating a thali before. Great ambience and good people.

Pork Belly Sisig | Lechon Belly | Pork Lumpia | Ube Cheesecake

The food seemed very authentic and delicious with a wide variety of classic Filipino pork dishes with a modern twist. The pork belly was perfectly crisp and flavorful. The Lechon was soooo goood - the skin was super crispy and meat was juicy. The Lumpia is similar to a spring roll and, the Ube cheesecake was more like a Uber flan, a bit too sweet for my palate.

Muffuletta Sandwich

A Muffuletta sandwich is something we had not heard about before, but we read that this was another must have while in New Orleans. NOLA is home to the original muffuletta sandwich from Central Grocery & Deli but unfortunately this place was shut. So we visited another popular restaurant Pat O'Briens Bar.
This sandwich is so simple and massive but so so amazing! The Muffuletta consisted of imported salami, ham, elemental Swiss, provolone cheese, mortadella and their special olive salad on Italian sesame seed bread. The sandwich was interestingly nice and not overpowering to the pallete. If you're in NOLA, I would definitely recommend to give this a try.

Crawfish Étouffée over Fried Fish | Chocolate Pecan Pie

The cuisine of New Orleans is heavily influenced by Creole cuisine, Cajun cuisine, and soul food. Seafood also plays a prominent part in the cuisine. An Étouffée is something that you would find in most of the restaurants in New Orleans (airport lounge included).

We visited this restaurant during our Oak Alley Plantation Tour. We ordered the Crawfish Étouffée over Fried Fish. Étouffée is a thick stew-like seafood dish which had chunks of crawfish amongst other veggies. The fish was was lightly fried without the batter overwhelming the fish. For desert we had the chocolate pecan pie which average from what we remember.

Millie Mae’s Fried Chicken & Butter beans

So finally we begin posting our New Orleans food adventures and what better place to start than with . They are known to have the best fried chicken in America.

The chicken was moist from the inside and crispy on the outside. The skin was uniquely flaky and had a kick to it. The butter beans was creamy delicious as well.

Was it the best fried chicken I’ve had ? Probably one of the better/best.

Al Pastor | Chorizo taco

has been our go to Taco place since we moved to Maryland. The tacos are delicious and they don’t skimp on meat. They come with 2-3 types of sauces and we specifically liked the one that had a good kick to it (yellow I think).

Masala Dosa w/ Sambar & Coconut Chutney

Our annual family trip to The Don Bosco Shrine is incomplete without a visit to this legendary outlet . We had our regulars filter coffee, masala dosa and pineapple sheera. Good quality authentic South Indian food.
