Our giant sunflower bloomed! And she isn’t disappointing.

I think she has more growing to do but I’ll be growing much more of these next year!

This girl is desperate to be a mom. So much so her best is knee high. I really hope she hatches something out soon.

It’s getting crazy around here. We have a raccoon issue, skunks, and winter is coming. I have been super busy.

I have been away at a day job so not too much is getting done on the page. Which I feel bad about. But I’m hoping I can pick back up on our page and engaging. When I’m not working I’m taking care of the animals or the kids. But the husband has gone back to work to take some of the load off of me. I can’t thank him enough for that. My health was suffering. Anyway I’m hoping after today I can get back on here and get back to engaging with everyone. I miss you all! ❤️

Ugh! Raccoons. Talk to me about raccoons.

I have so many things here that I feel like they would just eat. We have the livestock dogs but for the past two days a raccoon has been showing up. So far I think it’s just here for the cat food. But last night I have heard a hen go running across the yard in the dark.

Which is weird because everyone gets locked up. I go out and a door to one of the coops is open. I don’t remember it being left open though. Now I’m paranoid I’m going to lose everyone.

How do I deter them? I know where there’s one there’s more. So I want to try deterring before it gets trapped. I don’t want to set traps only to catch the cats.

The turtles are getting big. This pond does freeze over in the winter.

Does anyone know what turtles do in the winter? Hibernate like frogs?

Have you ever seen two cuter faces?

Two REW holland lop babies. Just left the nest a couple days ago. I just love their puffy cheeks. It gets me every time. ❤️🐰❤️

Jewelw**d. A plant I was always told was a w**d.

Now as an adult I realize it is very useful. And I learned today it has beautiful flowers. That attract hummingbirds. This plant is just a winner in my books.
