On the second night of Chanukah I poured myself a glass from a new distillery holyrooddistillery and this lovely Amber bottle. Looking forward to seeing what else they do in the future. May the strength of the Maccabees continue to pass down to through the generations.

Bottle one is an M&H single cask of a peated ex-fortified red wine cask. Powerful flavorful stuff.

Football season starts and I was in the mood for a sherry bomb but grabbed this inaugural bottle from Bellaire & Day 12 year old ruby port barrique Speyside. These guys pull some amazing bottles and i look forward to getting more of their selections.

For those who have wanted to know which 25 year old whiskey Leah and I would use to help celebrate our 25th anniversary it’s the Barrowman’s 25 year old. At 40% this is a very drinkable scotch at a great price point.
