This was not a regular break where someone just gets a cast and can go about their day. Unfortunately my break was complicated and there is a lot to it. It’s definitely going to be a journey.
April 21st - broke my humerus bone in 3 spots , it was in a sling ( didn’t do much but better than nothing). I had to hold my arm because I felt everything.
April 24 - I want to go orthopedic they did their own x-rays told me the break was so bad that I had to go to a trauma surgeon, a break like mine could not be done by a regular surgeon.The doctor put me in a temporary fiberglass cast and sling until I saw the trauma surgeon. The cast was heavy and felt super weird but i finally had some support.
April 29th - I went to the trauma surgeon and he tells me I definitely need surgery he said without surgery it would take a long time to heal and it might not heal correctly. With surgery It’s a 98% chance of healing correctly.
May 1st - Surgery day !! I now have a titanium rod and screws !! Now the healing process can begin.
