Attention Wannabe Meal Preppers! I'm helping to lead a communal meal prep session at Purple Kale Kitchenworks tomorrow (Tuesday) night. Wanna come?

The session is hosted by Supper Talk Club whose goal is to create community in the kitchen while getting dinner done!

Here's the info to register:

Supper Talk is a Brooklyn-based cooking club — a group gets together, cooks a few dishes, and everyone goes home with freshly made meals.

Something new and amazing!

Join Supper Talk Cooking Club on October 6 at the Purple Kale Kitchenworks studio for a fun evening of cooking and sharing.

Supper Talk Cooking Club is for people who like to cook, but are tired of planning and eager to connect with others while checking something off their to-do list.

I'll be there, helping to keep things moving.

Come ready to cook and leave with meals for the week!

Yesterday, I made a sauce for an herbed pork loin using the juices from the roasting pan combined with the saved scrapings from a seared curry chicken I ate day the before that.

A quick, sophisticated sauce built on resourcefulness and impulse.

That's how to be a nimble cook.

16 years ago, I taught a single cooking class out of my old Brooklyn apartment. "The Workshop" was unlike other cooking classes, both in its set up and content. It put Purple Kale Kitchenworks in the media spotlight, guided publication of my first cookbook, and in no small way changed my life.
I retired the workshop years ago, as my class and event schedules grew. Last year I brought it back, but in slimmer form.
