Brooklyn Kura New York's first sake brewery! New York's first sake brewery. Brooklyn-based, our flagship products will launch under the brand Brooklyn Kura.

Our journey began with a chance meeting in Tokyo, countless batches of homebrew, and a quest to create an American Craft option in a complex and often misunderstood category. Brooklyn Kura also operates under the brand Gotham Sake.

Introducing Ebbets Field ✨

For the past few months, we’ve been experimenting with Calrose!

Calrose is the most widely used rice amongst American sake brewers. We use it often with our Junmai sake as it tends to have a more robust full flavor quality. We present the first of these experiments, Ebbets Field Tokubetsu Junmai. The name is a nod to our partner brewery Hakkaisan who partners the LA Dodgers as Ebbets Field is the historic home of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Expect a refined, rice forward, sake with notes of wheat cracker and mild apple

Kick off Pride season with our annual drag party at Brooklyn Kura!

Lala Wiggy returns, with special guest Bertha Vanayshun, and DJ Dinah.

Games! Food specials! An LGBT sake flight! Hang in our taproom and enjoy craft sake alongside some of NYC’s most hilarious and talented drag performers.

The show will run from 5:30-7:30, and a $15 ticket reserves a spot at a table and includes a free pour of sparkling sake!

Moments before these Occidental bottles head out into the world! Just in time for the first days of summer, this is the bottle we'll be reaching for all season long.
