Our 7th and final stop on led us to —a place that feels less like a restaurant and more like a gathering of creative spirits. The ideas has imagined here, and what Executive Chef brings to life each night, form a world of their own: Swediopian (Sweden & Ethiopia) flavors that move across continents with assurance, in a room illuminated with the bold work of .

La Caravelle found another distinctive pairing here: Cuvée Niña lifting the coastal notes, and Rosé paired with dishes like Dawa Dawa Salmon—built around bold, fermented, umami-rich flavors. The wines and dishes seemed to meet—and recognize old friends, much like Marcus and Rita themselves.

The atmosphere is composed and understated yet colorful and vibrant. The team’s kindness radiates. The cocktails dazzle. The wine list elevates producers whose work merits broader recognition, with focus and conviction. It’s no surprise the bestowed 🌟🌟 to Hav & Mar; the character here is unmistakable.

Our thanks to Chef Marcus, Chef Fariyal, and the Hav & Mar team for receiving us with such care and for closing this crawl on a note of refinement, vibrancy and distinction. Such a fitting final chapter—leaving us grateful and looking ahead to the next crawl 🍾.

Each dish arrives steeped in heritage, evoking childhood treats and the warmth of home kitchens passed down through generations. La Caravelle found two perfect pairings here—bubbles lifting the warmth and spice of each course, while La Caravelle Listrac paired beautifully with spicier, bolder flavors with equal grace, never overshadowing the heart of the cuisine. Cultural milestones are shaped here, with a grounded approach to pushing the boundaries of South Indian dining, crowned with a well-earned star 🌟, not to mention topping the 100 Best Restaurants List 2025 and Best Chef NY State 2025!

Caviar enthusiasts, take note! Our 5th stop at began with a quiet nod to an emblematic sailing ship we both call our own…. Poured alongside some of the world’s finest caviar, La Caravelle Champagne’s bright effervescence wraps itself around each bite, leaving an endless, toasted finish that danced with each sip.

Each bead is hand-selected and matured to perfection… the ideal match for La Caravelle 🍾, and a terrific excuse to gather for a toast. Heartfelt thanks to the Petrossians for opening their doors—and their tins—to us. Extra thankful for this generations-enduring wonderful friendship.

Stop four on our is , the wildly popular seafood counter keeping things simple with pristine seafood and precise flavors. Penny was recently ranked #40 in the inaugural North America!
Executive Chef Joshua Pinsky ’s menu is a set of strikingly simple and perfect seafood dishes that change seasonally. Chef Forrest Florsheim served a beautiful ruby snapper from Shizuoka, with honeycrisp apple dashi that hit all the right notes with our Brut Rosé 🍾.
Their sesame brioche and butter is obsession material…

The afternoon unfolded around the elegant marble counter, anchored in good conversation, a relaxed tempo, and assured service—making the visit feel as composed as it was memorable. Rita caught up with the crew, bringing to mind their sibling downstairs, just as sought after . Both Penny and Claud are home to one of NYC’s smartest wine programs, thanks to the thoughtful and talented , Sommelier and Owner. You can feel the clear thread of care and intention between the two spaces. Plus—what’s life without a pour of ?

Next on our , we hit one of NYC’s hottest tables, , for a grand seafood spread, tableside prime rib and Chef in full command. La Tête d’Or has flipped the meaning of “steakhouse” sur la tête with timeless glamour and oh-so-DB flair.

Chef and cheered with our Blanc de Blancs 🍾 over the chicest seafood tower. Later, over a bottle of , DB and Rita carved the finest prime rib (!) after a lively kitchen and grill visit… to capture it all with this dream team. Need to mention the warm and outstanding hospitality by DB and . By the way, DB was in charge of the photo shoot setup himself…

Bisous à notre cher ami Daniel et Joyeux premier anniversaire à La Tête d’Or et son équipe!
