We've got a really refreshing menu this week featuring one of our favorite summer soups....watermelon gazpacho!! Slightly sweet, savory, umami and spicy. It hits every taste bud! With peaches finally making their debut we had to make sure we got a dessert in there to showcase them in all their glory. What better way than a perfect peach crumble? We actually prefer to eat ours cold, so good. If you prefer it warm, go for it. In fact, add a scoop of parve (or dairy if you can) vanilla ice cream and a scoop of raspberry sorbet to it. Prepare to swoon.
Late season cabbage is getting harvested now and they're huge! We roasted a cabbage for shabbat and now we want you to have it too because it was just that good. We used early season apples and our homemade beef bakon, it was outstanding! We found a fabulous new farm and we will be working with them this summer and fall for fresh local produce/honey. The first batch potatoes we got were incredible. They came from the very first harvest and were almost sweet in flavor. Get the potatoes this week, you'll see what I mean.
