Today’s $20/glass magnum pour comes from Didier Fornerol. Didier Fornerol makes a style of Burgundy that is savory, floral and refreshing, using the same whole-cluster fermentation process as DRC and Dujac. He’s one of the greats, and this 2015 magnum is perfect right now. Come on by.

Look at this (tiny) (very) old bottle of wine.

What is it? Chateau Haut-Brion, Premier Grand Cru Classe 1967
Is this winemaker still making wine? Yes.
How many standard pour shots would fit in a 375 ml bottle? 6, but probably closer to 5.5 after 50+ years of aging.
Who else has a 1967 vintage? The effortlessly and timelessly cool Lisa Bonet. This wine is aging similarly well.
What does it taste like? Old Bordeaux from these kinds of vintages is more of a light red than a big one. Expect dried flowers, a spice cabinet, and incense.

We have just a couple bottles left of Domaine de Cassiopée. You may have seen them around on some of the best wine lists.

When we visited this tiny estate in Burgundy, it was with much anticipation. Jean Marc Roulot wrote their reference letter into the collectible Burgundy market.

The wines are really special and also unique. Some lean into the salty, sharp, natural-ish style like Chanterêves and Bize. Some are more focused and precise like Roulot and D’Angerville. All in all, they are great value, made by great people, and great to drink now rather than hold for the long haul. Link in our bio to grab them before they’re gone.

We’re putting a couple of Ampeau’s reds on sale on our site today, but would be remiss not to mention his world class whites as well.

1997 is a gamble vintage, so it takes a bit of research. We bought this from the importer directly which was a good sign. It's also from one of the best vineyards in Burgundy, Perrières. This wine is delicious.

Come by Division Street to try his ‘97 Meursault-Perrières, and shop Ampeau’s reds at the link in our bio.

We just received a range of 2020 White and Red Burgundy from Bernard Moreau. When it comes to Chassagne-Montrachet, Moreau belongs in the same conversation as PYCM and Ramonet. In other words, the best of the best.

While the classic domaine is most famous for its whites, Moreau is one of the few producers in Burgundy who makes both great white and red. From a handful of renowned vineyards in Volnay and Chassagne, his reds are elegant, earthy, and expressive.

Try a red, try a white, at home or at our bar. But definitely get your hands on Bernard Moreau whenever you can.

Winemakers have good taste. They’re also good farmers. And they really nail the whole fermentation thing.

So, it’s not surprise that some of the best vinegar and olive oil in the world comes from some of wine’s all time greats. We’ve got some in now and trust us – it’s delicious. Link in our bio to grab one.

Today the weather was getting us down, so decided to open two magnums to raise money for tonight— a red from Ganevat, a legend of the Jura, and a white from Emilio Rojo, Spain’s greatest producer of white wine.

$20 a glass each. Tonight til we run out. Don’t let the rain win.
