Motherhood comes in many forms.

Different paths. Different stories. Different kinds of families.

Today we’re celebrating the women who somehow hold it all together while building businesses, raising kids, supporting communities, carrying invisible weight, and continuing to show up every single day.

To the moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, chosen family, single moms, co-parents, mentors, caregivers, and women doing the impossible balancing act between work and life- we see you.

Building a business while building a family is not always graceful, but it is powerful.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the strong women holding up the world in ways big and small.

We’ve spent years on these waters.

We’ve seen what’s changed, and how quickly it’s happening.

The truth is, the work only just begins with farming.

What started as growing oysters has become something bigger- restoring the waters they depend on.

We’re growing into a new chapter, one focused on rebuilding systems, improving water quality, and helping protect the future of working waterfronts like ours.

This is where it all starts.

More soon!

Throwback to the very first week we began building Little Ram Oyster Company back in 2018!

One thing we’ve learned building Little Ram is that there is room for all of us at the table.

Some of the most meaningful support we’ve received has come from other women who understand the grit, pressure, sacrifice, and heart it takes to build something from the ground up.

Women supporting women is more than a slogan.

It’s opening doors. Sharing opportunities. Speaking someone’s name in rooms they’re not in. Showing up. Celebrating wins. Reminding each other to keep going when things get hard.

That kind of support changes businesses.

It changes industries.

It changes communities.

We are endlessly grateful to be surrounded by strong women building meaningful things.

Little Ram has never just been about oysters. It is about a feeling. A pace. A way of gathering around the water.

As a woman-owned and operated oyster farm on the East End of Long Island, we have built Little Ram with an obsession for quality, detail, and experience. From the way our oysters are grown and handled to the atmosphere surrounding every event, nothing is accidental.

We believe exceptional oysters should come with exceptional hospitality. A raw bar should feel elevated but effortless. A beach fire should feel unforgettable. And the people you trust to bring that experience should care as much about the details as you do.

That is what sets Little Ram apart.

Whether we are serving at a private beach fire, a wedding weekend, a dinner party, or a raw bar by the water, Little Ram brings a level of quality, energy, and coastal style that people remember.

That is the Little Ram vibe.

Earth Day, the way we know it best!

For us, caring for the environment is not a statement, it is the work. It is in the water we farm, the ecosystems we help rebuild, and the choices we make every day.

That is why partnering with feels so aligned. Thoughtfully made with earth-conscious materials, their designs reflect the same belief we carry into the bay: that what we take from the environment should be balanced with how we care for it.

From the beach to the boat, we are wearing:
Elizabeth: Alazia Fisherman Sandals
Stef: Penny Lace-Up Sneakers

Built for movement, grounded in purpose.

A healthy coastline is something we build together.

Earth Day, every day.

Oysters are more than what’s on your plate. They are one of the most powerful natural tools we have to restore our coastal ecosystems.

A single oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day, removing excess nutrients, improving water clarity, and creating the conditions needed for marine life to thrive. When grown at scale, oyster reefs become living infrastructure- protecting shorelines, supporting biodiversity, and strengthening the resilience of our bays.

At Little Ram Oyster Co, this is the work behind every harvest. Farming oysters means actively restoring the water they grow in.

A healthy bay is not just something we enjoy. It is something we fight for and rebuild.

We were honored to host an incredible group of leaders on the farm this week for a raw bar, tour, and an important conversation about the future of New York’s oyster industry.

Thank you to Commissioner Richard Ball, Commissioner Amanda Lefton, Supervisor Al Krupski, Legislator Greg Doroski, Legislator Ann Welker, Chris Pickerell, Thalia Olaya, Martin Gary, Kelly Young and Kate Fullam for spending meaningful time with us.

After a winter that tested our farms in ways we’ve never experienced, we shared firsthand the impact of the freeze and more importantly, the path forward.

Together, we discussed real, actionable ideas to not only support recovery, but to rebuild this industry stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for the future.

This is how we move forward together. Protecting not just an industry, but the ecosystems and communities behind it.

We were just featured in The New York Times.

A moment like this means so much- not just for us, but for oyster farmers and working waterfront communities everywhere.

This winter’s freeze didn’t just lock the bay. It tested an entire industry, dragging cages, gear, and years of careful work into ice. But it also revealed something else. The resilience of a community that refuses to stand still.

Right now The Icebreaker Campaign is helping rebuild the infrastructure that got hit hardest- cages, buoys and seed replacement. And the response so far has been incredible: 130+ supporters are already building forward with us.

If you’ve arrived here from the article, welcome! This is where the story continues.

100 supporters!

After a winter that froze the bay solid and compromised more than 30% of our crop, that kind of belief changes everything.

This campaign isn’t just helping us recover, it’s allowing us to rebuild stronger, smarter, and more intentionally.

The next chapter is already taking shape.

Thank you for standing with us. We are deeply grateful.
