I have been wanting to create a space for people who enjoy going to the grocery store. Now I'm not talking about going to the grocery store for your regular weekly shopping. I mean visiting different grocery stores in different places. My wife and I like to travel around the world. We like to go to exotic lands and faraway places.
What we do that many travelers do not, is we like to go to foreign markets and grocery stores. You can really learn a lot about a neighborhood and the people who live in it just by visiting the local market or grocery store. We go to small little corner stores with maybe just under 100 different products to large big box stores that sell everything under the sun.
My wife and I like to vacation around the world and more than likely we'll spend at least 1 day of our trip going to grocery stores. We've done ethnic grocery tours of Chicago and I'm putting together a few different ones for New York City.
In the US most places have what we call grocery stores or supermarkets. Many of them are huge fields of row upon row of food goodness. We can walk the aisles of grocery stores for hours upon hours.
This space is to be a testament to those that like going to grocery stores and markets. Not just for the normal process of food shopping, but for the discovery of new and interesting foods and products and how people find and buy them.
We look forward to you sharing your own adventures as you go from grocery stores to markets around the world.
We hope that you share our passion for grocery stores and markets.
