It’s that time of year again! We’re thrilled to welcome you to our 4th annual walkaround tasting of Italy’s “Killer B’s”: Brunello, Barolo, and Barbaresco. We’ll be pouring through a full roster of current-release Brunello 2021s, Barolo 2022s, and Barbaresco 2023s from benchmark producers across Italy's most coveted regions. Pouring alongside us will be Letizia Fenocchio, the newest generation from the historic Giacomo Fenocchio estate.

In addition to these benchmark Italian wines, we’re also excited to highlight one of Spain’s Killer B's: Bierzo! Our friends from the Spanish portfolio will be showcasing bottlings from this coveted region that shouldn’t be missed.

Finally - as always - we’ll be featuring a selection of Italian library releases that’ll serve your programs well throughout fall, along with plenty of bubbles and whites to quench your thirst throughout the tasting. We look forward to this tasting each and every year and can’t wait to host you!

Introducing to the Skurnik portfolio.

The story of Le Origini begins with the Fiorini family, whose connection to Emilia-Romagna and its winemaking traditions spans more than a century. Since the family's first vineyards were planted outside Modena in 1919, five generations have cultivated Lambrusco, preserving the region's heritage while continuing to evolve with each new generation.

Today, Le Origini harvests fruit from both its historic vineyards near Modena and hillside sites in Bologna, producing distinctive expressions of Lambrusco di Sorbara and Lambrusco Grasparossa that reflect the unique character of each vineyard.

Sustainability remains central to the estate's philosophy. Since 2019, the vineyards have been farmed according to certified organic standards alongside biodynamic practices, with every vineyard harvested by hand.

Vito Zoppi calls Vermouth di Torino IGP "the peak of the pyramid of vermouths." Unlike other styles of vermouth, Vermouth di Torino must be made with Italian wine. Vito goes a step further and uses local wines from Piedmont. And unlike French of Spanish styles that typically use oxidized wines, Vermouth di Torino favors fresh wine. His vermouth recipe, which he shares in this clip, celebrates the wines and wild botanicals of Piedmont, hence the name, Antica Torino.
