Motel No Tell in 📍East Village

I am the friend who gets texted for recs, so I am simply bringing you into the group chat with the series “Text the Rec Edition.”

I have to be honest: East Village is one of those neighborhoods I don’t visit often. However, I was recently invited to Motel No Tell, located at Avenue A and East 13th Street, I was excited to have place to recommend to my friends. This bar and restaurant is known for its wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas, tropical cocktails, and a vintage 70s motel aesthetic.

The menu is filled with shareable items, but I strongly recommend ordering a few standout dishes. These include the perfectly fried Salt & Pepper Shrimp, served with fried rice that has a nice kick; Korean Fried Chicken; and the Spicy Rigatoni.

After posting to my stories last week, I found out a couple of y'all have been holding out on me.👀

Next time you see me at Motel No Tell, I will be sitting on the patio with the biggest sunglasses, because they have PRIME people-watching and a killer happy hour.

Dublin solo travel ☘️

Is this even a solo trip if I went for work? The answer is yes!

Working in tech allowed me to see a new country — but every evening was mine.

I took myself out to dim sum at Hang Dai, natural wine at Frank’s, had a glass of vino at a bar built inside a church where Arthur Guinness, the founder of Guinness, got married.

I wandered the streets alone and never once felt unsafe.

I ate dinner for one and loved every second of it.

Would I go back just for me?
Already planning it. 🍀
