🍓 Strawberry Shortcake
Buttery biscuits, juicy strawberries, and clouds of whipped cream… this is summer on a plate.
📝 Ingredients:
• 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
• 2 cups heavy cream
• ½ cup sugar (divided)
• 2 cups flour
• 1 tbsp baking powder
• ½ cup butter (cold)
• ¾ cup milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt
👉 Directions:
1. Toss strawberries with ¼ cup sugar and let sit to release juices.
2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.
3. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then stir in milk and vanilla to form dough.
4. Shape into biscuits and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12–15 minutes until golden.
5. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
6. Split biscuits, layer with strawberries and whipped cream, then top with the other half.
