🍝 The World’s Favorite Recipe: Spaghetti Carbonara! 🍝
A creamy, comforting pasta dish that’s perfect for any night of the week! Spaghetti Carbonara is rich, flavorful, and oh-so-satisfying. Let’s dive into this classic Italian recipe!
Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe
Ingredients:
400g (14oz) spaghetti
200g (7oz) pancetta or guanciale, diced
3 large eggs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
1/2 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese 🧀
2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional) 🌿
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2️⃣ Cook the pancetta: In a large skillet, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat. Add the pancetta or guanciale and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Add the garlic during the last minute and cook until fragrant.
3️⃣ Make the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, Parmesan, Pecorino, salt, and pepper.
4️⃣ Combine pasta and pancetta: Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a little pasta water and then drain the pasta. Add the pasta to the skillet with pancetta and toss to coat in the rendered fat.
5️⃣ Mix with sauce: Remove the skillet from the heat and pour the egg and cheese mixture over the pasta, tossing quickly to create a creamy sauce. If needed, add a little reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
6️⃣ Serve: Top with extra grated cheese, black pepper, and fresh parsley if desired.
