With immense pride and gratitude as a Nuyorican, woman-owned business, Heritage Bread Pudding is honored to be invited as a dessert sponsor for the 41st Annual 116th Street Festival Awards Recognition Ceremony 🇵🇷

As the first purveyor dedicated exclusively to one of Puerto Rico’s most beloved traditional desserts — Budín de Pan — this moment carries generations of meaning for our family. What began as a treasured recipe passed down through love, resilience, and tradition has grown into a mission rooted in preserving culture any way we can: through flavor, storytelling, hospitality, and community connection.

To stand alongside long-time community heavy hitters like .cocina.les and is incredibly humbling. These are the businesses that helped shape and nourish our communities for decades, and to now share space among them as a new generation carrying culture forward feels truly special. A heartfelt thank you to for continuously uplifting Puerto Rican culture through humor, pride, visibility, and genuine community support.

We are also thrilled to debut NYC’s FIRST Budín de Pan Bar catering experience for the evening’s private guests — an elegant and interactive celebration of nostalgia, Puerto Rican tradition, and family legacy.

From our family kitchen to one of the most celebrated Puerto Rican cultural events in New York City, this recognition is a reminder that preserving culture can happen in many forms — and sometimes, it starts with dessert.

These next few weeks, we’re honored to bring Heritage Bread Pudding to communities that remind us so much of the way we grew up — where food is love, culture, memory, and celebration all at once! 🇵🇷

📍Westchester — we’re so excited for our first time at Bringing our family recipe to a new community always feels a little emotional, especially knowing every piece of budín carries a piece of our Puerto Rican home with it.

📍Staten Island — we’re returning to for the 2nd Annual Borinquen Heritage Fest! There is nothing like being surrounded by Puerto Rican pride, music, flags waving in the summer air, and recipes that connect us. This year… we just might be arriving with a new flavor.

*A little heads up: Last year, we sold out before late festival-goers arrived, so if you already know what you want, place your preorder early online before they’re gone! To do so, select the “Pickup” option at checkout and write “Borinquen Fest” in the notes.

Thank you for continuing to support this little family business built on nostalgia, tradition, and the flavors passed down to us by Puerto Rican women whose love could feed entire rooms. We can’t wait to hug familiar faces and meet new ones all over again this summer!

Queens Taste 2026 was one for the books!

One of my favorite parts of Queens Taste is seeing familiar faces — returning customers, fellow entrepreneurs and amazing chefs — and being surrounded by so many amazing local brands keeping culture and family alive through food.

Thank you, Queens, for always making us feel seen, supported, and at home. We are endlessly grateful to be part of The World’s Borough ♥️

-

Check us out at The Queens County Farm Museum on 5/24 and Westchester’s on 5/31 - Then we’re back in STATEN ISLAND on 6/7 for their 2nd annual Borinquen Heritage Fest

We’ll see you soon in a neighborhood near you!

So grateful to have joined and for such a thoughtful conversation about the creative journey behind building Heritage Bread Pudding.

We spoke about nostalgia, storytelling, and what it means to carry a family recipe into a modern world while protecting the feeling that made it special in the first place. For me, this business has never just been about dessert. It’s about comfort, the women who raised me and the traditions that survive through our hands.

As a mother and entrepreneur, I’ve learned that both roles require faith, resilience, and the ability to keep creating even when you’re exhausted. You truly build with your heart first!

Thank you for creating space for conversations that remind us there is real humanity behind every small business 🙏🏼

Heritage Bread Pudding was born from generations of women who created warmth wherever they went and made ordinary moments feel beautiful.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, titis, and caretakers whose love lives in every small gesture, every tradition carried forward, and every recipe made by hand.

And for the woman in your life who always says she “doesn’t need anything,” while deserving the world, perhaps something simple, thoughtful, and quietly luxurious — a handcrafted treat made by another mother, inspired by the women who came before her.

This Saturday only, from 10am–5pm, join us for the Apple Blossom Festival at where we will be sharing bites of the budín that has become so beloved among Queens residents!

As a woman-owned, Queens-made business, every tray we bring is made with bread baked here in Queens, honoring the borough that raised us. Our Puerto Rican budín carries with it the warmth of our grandmother’s kitchen, the stories of our family, and the beauty of the many cultures that make Queens feel like nowhere else in the world.

Come spend the day wandering the farm, listening to music, greeting old friends, and tasting a tradition made slowly and lovingly, just as it always has been.

See you soon!
