I stopped by a local hardware store yesterday to pickup a new , much needed rotary tool... I was in my uniform and the lady behind the counter said " oh you are a foot doctor for animals?" 😀

I smiled and said, " Well I guess you could say that"... After telling her I am not a veterinarian , but offer another service that is equally needed we went on and had a fun conversation about the fact that the specific animals we serve are the ones that folks don't even realize need their feet trimmed and cared for. She admitted she never knew that these other hooved animals required care like that .....Sadly this is certainly not the first time I have heard this from the public.

So I went out to the car and brought her one of our informative pamphlets back in while I shipped out some UPS packages in the other part of the store...it's a one stop shop there 😂

Spreading the word about what we do is SO important!
People need to know we exist, animals need relief and attention. The more awareness the better for everyone!

We are not for everyone...Our services are an investment.
Some want a CHEAP trim.... Just a w***y nilly trim once in a while ... We are not that service. Sorry.

We do not show up with dirty, generic snips in hand and lop off a few bits of hoof wall here and there and call it a day as we roll off to another state.

We do not leave you hanging with unhealthy hoof situations and no plan to heal and no solution.

We do not man handle or intent to cause stress to your animals because they are viewed as livestock and not your furry babies.

We are not here today gone tomorrow, our routine services provide peace of mind.

Sure there are plenty of CHEAP trims out there ... But our clients call us when they are searching for solutions to troubled hooves, lack of time and energy to complete this tough task, lack of proper knowledge or to FIX the remnants of that CHEAP trim that another trimmer botched.

Ouch! 🤕 Interdigit discomfort can be caused by many things.... Abscesses, granuloma, debris...are just a few thing that can make walking extremely uncomfortable.

These ladies are sad.... They really need a new homestead to call their forever 🏠....

Can anyone give these two beautiful blue eyed ladies a soft place to land permanently? 😍💓 🐐 🐐 🏡

Although their names are Daisy and Dixie... These ladies are like Thelma and Louise, buddies, gal pals and easy on the eyes!

Through absolutely no fault of their own they find themselves on the bottom of the totem pole in their herd ... They are always involuntarily finding themselves in a alley way fight, needing to watch their backs by the older larger does in the herd. This loving situation is not ideal or sustainable.

A new home would ideally be one that will take them both, they really are bonded like glue. Daily attention and lots of treats would be a perk too... They are used to horses and pigs, chickens, dogs...barn cats are not their favorite but they can cohabitate. They do have papers but ideally would be pets and not for breeding.

Vet reference required and a suitable goat safe setup is necessary. Preference goes to established Homestead Helpers PA Specialized Hoof Care clients.... We would love to continue to provide hoof care for them!
