Happy 80th Birthday to fashion icon, eco-warrior and living legend Dame Vivienne Westwood, Queen of Punk

Creator of the punk style, together with her then partner Malcom McLaren, she revolutionize fashion in the 70’s. She challenged society with her radical, offensive and daring clothes, bringing a totally different approach to fashion and providing that it can be used as a loudspeaker.
A living icon of British fashion and culture, she drew on British tailoring and tailoring techniques and used fabric such as Harris Tweed and Scottish Tartan, showing her respect for British tradition and heritage.
Art and Culture are her main source of inspiration, disciplines from she has been self-taught. And, throughout the more than forty years she has been in fashion, her transgressive and difficult to ignore proposals have put different issues in the spotlight.
A convinced activists, for some years she has been very involved en different environmental, political, social and economic causes, and encourage to reduce consumption, buying only durable and quality garments.
