I can’t tell you how many days I want to throw in the towel on this brand. Especially now when I’m enraged. Wondering what the point is, fighting for something that feels like an uphill battle, when culture isn’t even the issue anymore. Human decency is.

And sonI think of the families aching. And then, of the people who missed the mark on empathy and compassion for differences with an agenda to ruin this country in the name of “better”.’ I keep on going.

I feel so grateful to read my son’s favorite book with him with chipped painted nails because he wanted to see what it was like and I gladly encouraged him. To see my boys together - one learning the piano, a privilege I wished for as a child of immigrants who said piano was too expensive; the other wearing a very torn Captain America costume that makes him believe he IS Steve Rogers. To see my play set alongside their very American toy food but to them it all goes together seamlessly.

We often complain about the mundane. But this week, I’m holding them a little tighter. Because I can.

As a creator, I feel the need to post pretty, aesthetic things most times. But it’s these raw, very real moments that are the most beautiful to me this week.
