It's been a week y'all. Our household got hit with the flu and there were moments where I was unsure if I'd be able to keep pushing, but alas here we are and I have some big news!

Aye Mami Umami passed our inspection and we are officially legal! We grew our first legal batch of Koji this week!

So incredibly grateful to have these opportunities no matter how tough and exhausting they may be.

So the time is finally here! A big shout out to for making this funky business a little more professional. The goal was to create a brand that showed off something fun, a little nerdy, and a lot of funky, while still staying true to the realm of fermentation. It only felt fit to have Codee create my brand since almost seven years ago he was the first person to mutter the words "koji" to me. Ever since I've been chasing this exotic and enticing mold.

Stay tuned this year as I begin to launch my business and start selling miso to our local Cincinnati area.

Can't wait to show off all the plans and ideas that are instore for this funky little business of mine.
