RIP my beautiful girl. 😭

What a calving season it’s been so far. We do everything in our power to help the animals we raise and breed but god had other plans for Audrey and her calf.

Absolutely heartbroken is an understatement. A huge thank you to our Vets for coming out and at least making her comfortable. We are so thankful for you.

Here’s to another day of farm life - the good, the bad and in between. 🩷

Happy Sunday Fam. 🩷🫶🏻

We’ve been a little mia. Here’s what the beginning of 2026 had in store for us:

1. Derek underwent two shoulder surgeries. Almost back to back to each other and it’s been brutal. We are still praying for pain relief and more comfort for him but so far, it’s been an uphill battle.

2. Calving season started on March 2nd and it’s been go go go since then. We love watching these animals live as god intended but we’ve also already suffered loss with having one calf just not thrive like the rest. God called her home early which was heart breaking.

3. We are in full swing of spring and getting the farm ready for lots of things! Field trips, garden, more delicious beef, pork and chicken - you name it. We are aiming to make this year one of the best with some big life shifts happening for us behind the scenes 😉

Life has been crazy. But good. But also, crazy - and I mean that when I say it. 🤣

Thank you for sticking around and waiting for us to make a come back. Sometimes things shift and we put other things on the front burners so to speak. 😍

What are you most excited about on the farm? 🩷

So pumped for this next season 🩷 spring break is always rejuvenating and I can feel when gears shift for us.

We will be working on selling more produce to the public this year and would love for your feedback. Is there some thing in particular you’re looking for fresh from the farm?

We can’t do this without you - so please let us know.

As always, everything is home grown and there are never pesticides or herbicides used 🩷

Please share!!! 🤩

I mean, who i am kidding - I go googly eyed over all the cows 😂

But Clover is really stealing our hearts around here 🩷

Now - we’re just waiting for the rest of them to drop… 😍

That’s it.

We are officially down to 1 whole and 1 half for 2026.

Every year these go quickly… but this year you all really moved. And we are so grateful.

If you’ve been on the fence about filling your freezer with pasture-raised pork from our farm, this is your moment. Once these final spots are claimed, we are completely sold out for the year.

Butcher dates are set for late September / early October.
If you’re interested in snagging one of the last shares, send us a message ASAP and we’ll get you the details.

We mean it when we say everything we offer is limited - and your support keeps this farm moving forward year after year. 🐷💛

Rolling our Shade Haven out for the first time last fall - and it was still HOT.

Here’s why projects like this matter:

☀️ Cattle begin experiencing heat stress around 72–75° (depending on humidity).
☀️ Feed intake can drop 10–30% during heat stress.
☀️ Shade can reduce ground temps by 20–40°.
☀️ Shaded cattle spend more time grazing and ruminating.

But here’s where Shade Haven specifically makes sense from a conservation standpoint:

✔ It’s mobile - so we can move it with our rotation.
✔ It prevents overuse in one single shaded area.
✔ It protects soil from compaction and erosion.
✔ It improves pasture utilization across the entire field.
✔ It reduces heat stress without building permanent heavy-use zones.

NRCS doesn’t fund convenience.
They fund conservation outcomes.

Mobile shade supports animal welfare and land stewardship.

That’s why this kind of project aligns. Contact today for more information on what shade works best for you!
