🐣 SURPRISE BABIES! 🐣
Well, Bernadette II apparently had plans of her own! 😂
I went about my morning chores today and discovered that Bernadette II had been keeping a very big secret… a whole batch of baby chicks tucked away! 🥹🐥
I have NO idea how she managed to hide them from me, but somehow this little mama has been quietly doing her thing and now suddenly there are tiny fluff balls running around the farm.
Nothing like finding surprise chicks first thing in the morning! ❤️
I guess Bernadette II decided that she would handle the farm’s chicken population planning. 😂

I am EXHAUSTED. 😂
Yesterday was pasture rotation day, and as usual… absolutely NOTHING went according to plan. 🤦‍♀️
This time, the bucks were the problem. Because apparently being in rut means they have decided they are actually big horn sheep preparing to fight to the death. 🐐💥🐐
Putting them back together in the same pen? Nope.
Sharing a fence line? Apparently also nope.
So… lots of space between them it is!
That meant finding roommates for the boys to keep them company. Thankfully, we have two wethers (castrated boys) who are perfect for this very important job: Norman, who is basically a professional roommate at this point, and my sweet baby boy Stanley. ❤️
Except… that meant Stanley had to be weaned from his mom so he could move in with Jacob.
I was NOT planning on weaning Stanley yet. 😭
And I hate weaning. Those little cries just break my heart. 💔
Then I thought, well… if we're already doing this… I might as well wean Helen too. So I pulled old girl Zinnia away from the landscaping crew and put her in with Helen to keep her company.
And OH. MY. GOODNESS.
There was crying.
There was hollering.
There was yelling from every direction. 😂
Rocket was upset because her friend Zinnia moved out.
Chloe and Danuta were NOT impressed that their babies were suddenly weaned.
Norman was apparently dealing with Burt's inappropriate advances 🤣.
And poor baby Stanley was heartbroken to be away from his mom AND his sister.
Basically, the entire farm was filing complaints yesterday. 😂
Thankfully, everyone seems to be adjusting and settling into their new spaces and new friends this morning. ❤️
And because apparently I don't enjoy having free time…
Today is vet day! 🩸🐐
Annual disease testing means blood draws for everyone on the list. Because nothing says fun Wednesday quite like chasing goats around for blood samples. 😂
I'm already counting down until this week is over.
Farm life is beautiful.
Farm life is rewarding.
Farm life is also EXHAUSTING. 😂🐐❤️
But everybody is safe, everybody is settling in, and that's what matters.
Now… somebody bring me coffee. ☕️

✨ From drab to refreshed! ✨
Remember the pumphouse expansion we’ve been working on? Well, it just got a fresh coat of paint, and WOW… what a difference! 🎨🏡
It’s amazing how a little paint can make a space feel completely new. What started as an old, well-used farm building is really starting to come together—and we’re loving seeing this project take shape!
This building is an important part of our farm. It houses our well pump that supplies water to our livestock, along with kidding stalls and a stanchion. With the new addition, we’ll have even more room to make this space useful for the goats and for our everyday farm chores. 🐐💦

🏗️ The Pumphouse Expansion Is Coming Along! 🐐
Andy has been hard at work on the addition to our pumphouse, and it’s really starting to take shape! We’re so excited to see this space growing into something that will make life here at StarStruck Acres a whole lot easier. ❤️
It may not look like much to some people, but around here, every bit of extra functional space makes a BIG difference! 🐐🔨
We’ll keep sharing updates as the project comes together. We can’t wait to show you the finished space!

🔨 Andy’s latest farm project is officially underway! 🐐
If you’ve been around the farm, you may recognize our little pumphouse. This building is home to the well pump that supplies water for our livestock, but over the years we’ve also turned part of the space into a couple of kidding stalls and our goat stanchion.
Well… we’re running out of room! 😂
So Andy has started building an addition onto the pumphouse! The goal is to give us some much-needed extra space for the goats. We’re thinking we may be able to add a couple more kidding stalls and possibly a second stanchion. 🐐🍼
Of course, on a farm, one project always seems to lead to another… but we’re pretty excited about having a little more functional space for our growing herd!
Stay tuned as we show you the progress! 👀🔨🐐
