It’s hard to believe, but this is it—our final weekend of Summer of Sunflowers!

And Mother Nature saved something beautiful for the finale. 🌻✨

Our largest field of black oil sunflowers is in PEAK BLOOM just in time for the weekend, joining all the other specialty varieties that have been popping open throughout the farm.

And the forecast? ☀️ Mid 80s and plenty of summer sunshine.

🌻 Some of the most unique varieties we planted are just now starting to bloom—which means visitors this week are getting to see something completely different in our fields.😍

🧡 Orange Ruffle — gorgeous layers of ruffled petals in rich shades of orange

🤍 White Nite — creamy, pale petals unlike the classic yellow sunflower

🧸 Teddy Bears — fluffy, fuzzy, ridiculously cute blooms that almost don't look real

🃏 Jokers — bold and dramatic with layers of golden-yellow petals surrounding a rich, dark center. They're big, fluffy, and definitely know how to get your attention

💜 Bicolor Plum — one of the moodiest beauties in the field, with gorgeous plum-toned petals brushed with warm, golden tips

And they're blooming alongside acres of the beautiful sunflowers already filling our fields. 🌻🌻🌻

These special varieties should continue opening throughout the week and into the weekend—which makes our FINAL WEEK of Summer of Sunflowers one you really don't want to miss.

Sunday, August 16 is our final day of the season.

On Friday and Saturday afternoons, our friends from Hi De Ho Farm will be visiting with their adorable baby goats! Kids can pet the goats for free, or hold or bottle-feed a baby goat with a small donation that goes directly to Hi De Ho Farm.

🌊✨ Plot twist... this week only: Foamy Friday is now Sudsy Sunday. We heard from so many of you that you were disappointed Mother Nature made us reschedule, and we couldn't let the weekend pass without all the fun, so the foam party is still happening! 🌡️ 90+ DEGREES IS NO JOKE: The Festival of Spring will sadly end early

Mother Nature is cranking up the thermostat this week, and unfortunately, tulips don’t have an "Air Conditioning" setting.

As many of you know, tulips are cold-weather crops. They thrive in the chill. With a 90-degree heatwave looming, our blooms will be retiring much faster than any of us anticipated.

Because we want your final memories of the farm to be beautiful—not wilted—we are officially moving up our closing date.

The Details:

When we kicked off on March 30th, we had every reason to believe we’d be blooming with you through Sunday, April 19th. The spring forecast was favorable, but the weather has taken an unexpected turn.

Closing early is the last thing we wanted to do, but it is the right thing to do for our visitors.

🗓️ FINAL DAY: We will officially close the gates for the season on Tuesday, April 14th, at dusk.

🎟️ REFUND INFORMATION:

For those of you with tickets for Wednesday, April 15th, through Sunday, April 19th, we have you covered. You will receive an automatic refund for your purchase. There is no need to email or call; our system will handle the rest!

🌻 LOOKING AHEAD: A Golden Summer

Don't pack away your cameras just yet! While the tulips are taking an early bow, we are already preparing for summer.

We are planting the entire farm—all 78 available planting acres—with sunflowers! It’s going to be seas of gold as far as the eye can see.

The Summer of Sunflowers: Begins around July 12th

Duration: Running through the first week of August

We’re so glad we got to share the fields with you while the weather was on our side. Come catch those last photos before the sun sets on Tuesday! 🌷✨
