We are home owners again!! Moving to a large lot mid-county in Manasss. Saying goodbye to the farm the end of the month. š¢ This is absolutely heartbreaking. The last remaining goats will be going to auction Monday, the sheep are going to a Georgia. At least I can keep my bunnies and chickens.
Itās going to take a while to sort out how to set up the fiber tools and wool. Etsy will be on vacation. But Iām still going to be able to sell if you contact me.
I still have way too much stuff!! Will be downsizing again. If I had the stamina I would have a yard sale. But I donāt think I can manage it with my knees. It will take everything I have to sort, pack, move, and unpack.
I will be listing on the market place. Or just donating it to habitats š¤·āāļø
Itās been a crazy few months. The housing market is too crazy. We where not able to find a farm big enough to keep the goats and sheep. If you know anyone looking for goats and Teeswater sheep let me know.
Sorry I havenāt been posting in a while. Itās been a crazy ride since August.
In short we decided to down size the farm and house. My arthritis is getting the worst of me, and my knees are hating life.
We will continue the fiber business just in a new location. We still have 5 goats, 2 sheep, rabbits, and chickens.
Getting inspections done now on a 12 acre farm in King George. Near Dahlgren Navel base. Looking to start moving there in February.
Took out a cooling mat and cot for Trinity and Flick.
This was not what I had in mind. š

They went into the paddock for the day.
They loved it and hated going into the barn for the night.
And yes some are still looking for a new address!
Happy New Year from the 9 new additions to the farm.
Hello!! I survived Knee replacement surgery. Ended up being a total knee replacement. When they say rehab is rough, they where not kidding!!! After a month I was able to start working on weaving and spinning, will have to post pictures. But not much has been able to happen. Hope you are having a safe and happy Holiday Season!!
***Update on fiber arts**(picture-Arizona is thinking this is how I will feel)
For those that donāt know, Iām having a partial knee replacement on Sept 22. After several blows from animals (not just goats) to my knee and slipping down several stairs my arthritic knee didnāt stand a chance. My life is not as productive as it was. Chronic pain and the grieving process of my mother has lead me to not be able to do much.
I had so hoped to have Trinity Farm Angoras online with the SVFF. But after long thought of how I will feel just 3 days after surgery. Knowing that I would have a very difficult time getting orders ready to ship, plus Covid restrictions and concerns in VA, we do not the people power to be present in the online festival and take care of my personal needs and animals..
I have so much to dye, just not enough stamina to do it right now. Stay tooned, I will be dyeing wool and yarn as soon as I can!! Till then Iām getting my Firefly (electric wheel) and small loom ready for action!!
Thank you all my loyal supporters!!
She looks just like her momma!! But not totally a Bratt. Ha ha she doesnāt go into the barn when she escapes. š¬
Every goat is tagged and tattooed, all young ones are waiting or hoping to go to new zip codes. Registered White Angora Goats!!! Arenāt they cute??
June 7th Dr OāBrien of Rose Hill Vet hospital saved momma and baby.
Met little Monica, she stayed in the house for a week, as her mother was unable to care for her. She is learning to be a goat. But would rather hang out with the people and dogs.
I just realized I havenāt posted in a bit. Still working on getting used to the new normal of not being my mothers caregiver. My mom passed away from COPD complications early May. Years of caregiving left tons of things to get caught up on. Plus an injury to my knee that gets an MRI today. Covid-19 shut downs are defiantly impacting our business too. We are starting up farm visit to the shop soon. Thankfully we have had a few visitors to the farm. Moving forward without my mom is a slow process, the side trip of caregiver was hard but Iām thankful she had a quite peaceful last few years. Iām doing porch āshoppingā (people time) and wheel trials if any one is interested.
While we are still getting DeAnnas Paint Pour examples here was what she had in her booth in Fredricksburg last year. And her Starburst paint pour.
Getting ready for our Easter Farm day!! Nikki G photo promo was yesterday. It was so fun!!! Will have photos up in a few days as she is efitioning them. But here is our guest model. Thanks Naia for bringing him!!
Ba ha ha, just sitting there watching life go by.... they crack me up sometimes.
I'm just starting to add the event and set up ticket sales. Pictures and more details will be added later. Limited space do to parking. Still trying to figure out how to book the photo shoot times.... Please be patient. It's a learning curve and hopefully skills I can acquire :)
Save the Date!! April 4th!!
We are super excited to hold our first Easter Farm Day this year!!
Working out all the details. But just too excited not to tell you.
We will have a photographer here doing a photo shoot with you and a bunny or baby goat or chick!! PLUS an artist helping you do a paint pour!!! PLUS a farm tour to see the goats AND the world of fiber arts!!
Stay tuned for the rest of the details!!
Todayās delemna, make kits for the shawls or, make the shawls for Delmarva?
What do you think?
Taste better when you stand on top.
Some of our borders and I had the privilege of rescuing this little boy from over protective dogs that wouldnāt let any of the goats or sheep near him (not even his mom). At first I thought the dogs had an opossum š¤. So think we should name him Possum. Ha ha.
New mom, Peanut had a hard start to motherhood with the dogs interfering. Mom and baby are trying to figure it out today in the barn āŗļø. ļæ¼ ļæ¼
I just got these yarns in to make up kits and scarves like the one I made that won 1st place last year. So excited!!
Iām slowly going through all the messages to find those that wanted to know when we have babies. Didnāt know it would take this long. I will continue to look later. But for now here is your cuteness for today. French Angoras, 3 weeks old. Too early to tell sexes. There are 5. Message me if your interests.
Guess what day it is???
This is funny
