🌶️ **The Story Behind Salsa del Borracho** 🌶️
Salsa del Borracho didn’t start as a “business.”
It started in my kitchen.
I grew up in Arizona — where amazing salsa is everywhere. Corner restaurants, backyard BBQs, family gatherings… good salsa isn’t special there, it’s expected. So the idea of *selling* salsa in Arizona? Honestly, it never made sense. The bar is high, and everyone already has their favorite.
But then we moved to Tennessee.
And suddenly… something shifted.
I started making my salsa the way I always had — fresh, bold, layered with real heat and real flavor. Friends tried it. Neighbors tried it. People kept saying,
“Wait… where did you buy this?”
When I told them I made it, the next question was always the same:
“Are you selling it?”
That’s when the door opened.
What felt ordinary in Arizona suddenly felt different here. There just wasn’t anything like it. The depth, the spice, the balance — it stood out. And for the first time, it made sense.
What began as something I made for friends turned into market booths, early mornings, late nights, and a whole lot of faith. Putting something you create out into the world is vulnerable. But the first time I watched someone take a bite, pause, smile, and come back for three containers — I knew this was bigger than salsa.
And here’s something else that means everything to me — this is a family-run business. If you see us at the market, it’s usually me or my husband behind the table… and most of the time, one of our three daughters is right there with us.
They help make it, pack it and set up. They talk to customers. They watch what it looks like to build something from the ground up.
Salsa del Borracho isn’t just about bold flavor. It’s about legacy. It’s about showing our girls what hard work, faith, and community look like in action.
This brand was built on:
• My roots in Arizona
• A leap of faith in Tennessee
• Family
• Community
• Big, unapologetic flavor
Every container represents where I came from and where we are now. It’s a little piece of our story — shared across kitchen tables all over Tennessee.
So when you grab a container, you’re not just buying salsa.
You’re supporting a family, a dream, and a story that crossed state lines and found its home.
And truly — we couldn’t do it without you. 🌶️❤️
