Honey will always be one of my favorite girls. I hope she chooses to live many many more years with us 🖤
I had no idea these sneaky chickens love begonia flowers 😵 Little bastards want to make my beautiful hanging plant into sushi!
I’m not kidding though... this plant only comes down for a short period to get watered and I have 5 birds that are following me to get their chance to snag a flower.... out of all plants I didn’t think a Funky Pink Begonia would be one of their favorites🤦♀️
Anyone in Colorado! Check out the video 🥰🥰🥰
Noooo... my Silkies would for sure tell you, this is an egg! Yuuup sure is 😉
I keep hearing a ting ting ting......🤔 what the heck... where is that noise coming from. I looked at my 2 year old and he is playing with his trucks.. so it’s not him... so I go and open the front door to see if it’s coming from outside and these 2 visitors are making all the ruckus!🤦♀️🙃🤣🤣
Share share share! How to Artificial inseminate a chicken.
Seeing a primary wing feather a few weeks before show day makes me want to absolutely cry...😭
Stay calm... Breathe.. The feather is out which means a new one is already coming in... phew... 🤣... These couple weeks will be worse than watching chicks hatch on hatch day... you know. When you have your face shoved to the glass of the incubator, all day watching for external pips!🧐🤨🤪🤥🤫.... 😆😆😆
Lots and lots of little spotted cuties 😁💕 It’s hard to say weather I’m more In love with the paints or blacks 😬.....🤣
****** UPDATE***** 2022 SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELED****

Hey...! you never know, you just may leave with a purchase of new birds or eggs to bring home from the show. 🙃
Our Recessive White Journey has now begun. They still have some growing to do. We are very excited to watch them grow.
As you can tell by my smile it was an absolute pleasure to have met these fine gentlemen on their home turf! They took much of their time out of their planned day to chit chat with us! True Poultry Breeders really are the best. We all love talking chicken 😃.
When someone drives 13 hours one way for your birds!! So amazing to finally meet this amazing person and our birds couldn't have landed at a better home. 😁😁

Biosecurity alert for Virginia poultry owners and waterfowl hunters. Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) was recently detected in wild waterfowl in Virginia. The confirmations consisted of two hunter harvested wild migratory waterfowl. Given the recent detection of HPAI in wild waterfowl in NC and SC, in the migratory path of wild waterfowl known as the Atlantic Flyway, these detections were not unexpected.
Those involved with poultry production in VA, from small backyard flocks to large commercial production, should review their biosecurity activities to assure the health of their birds. Biosecurity info is available at www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/ourfocus/animalhealth/animal-disease-information/avian/defend-the-flock-program/dtf-resources/dtf-resources. Additional biosecurity info on backyard flocks can be found at http://healthybirds.aphis.usda.gov.
Wild birds can be infected with HPAI without appearing sick. Waterfowl hunters can reduce the risk of exposing poultry or pet birds to HPAI by following USDA guidance www.aphis.usda.gov/publications/animal_health/2015/fsc_hpai_hunters.pdf.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers the risk to the general public from HPAI infections to be low. As a reminder, the proper handling and cooking of poultry, wild game birds, and eggs to an internal temperature of 165˚F kills bacteria and viruses, including HPAI.
Reports of multiple (at least five) dead, wild, free-ranging waterfowl (ducks, geese, or swans.), seabirds (terns, gulls, cormorants, etc.), shorebirds (dunlin, black-bellied plovers, sanderlings, ruddy turnstones, etc.), upland game birds (turkeys, grouse, or quail), or avian scavengers (crows, raptors, owls, etc.) should be submitted to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources at http://ow.ly/rzbW50HFFwU.

What a year it has been... I’m going into my 5th year of breeding and Im happy with what I’m seeing. I feel, I’m continually seeing improvements since the second year.
I wish Photoshop allowed more than 9 photos in a collage I have so many more beautiful birds to show...
*Another Very pretty cockerel! I’m unsure what I’m doing with him at this moment..... He is Very Nice looking. Super thick fluff, big thick crest and very rounded 🤩 he has really nice type (still filling out too)🤩 correct toes & spacing, massive fluffy feet, really nice sheen in person, wings are all there, comb is correct and small annnd.. NO Horns 🤩, very healthy and absolutely friendly.
I think many many people can use this as educational. Learn about the NPIP and also some diseases.
We were able to leave with BV with one of our Bearded Paint Pullets. 💕
The 39th annual Twin Tier Poultry Show in Bath NY was fun and exciting! 🤩 so many people working so hard. I’m very appreciative to have joined in on the fun.

Los mosquitos pueden transmitir enfermedades como la viruela aviar a sus aves. Dado que los mosquitos usan agua para poner sus huevos, proteja su parvada eliminando el agua estancada en su propiedad.
A little dirty but still very lovely! ☺️
The baby chicks new feed has arrived! I’m so excited when I receive feed from this company. There is Absolutely NO Grain Mites on the bags plus the birds love it. At least my adults do. I know the little ones will too. Thank you
This little one is around 2 months old and her Crest is HUUUGE 🥰 like 3 inch tall crest so far. That’s pretty amazing for a 2 month old.
