Here is the second swarm we caught on the same tree on the same day. Both were from our hives… even when we do everything we can so they don’t swarm… bees will be bees. 🐝😊

One of our hives decided to swarm right in the middle of a honey flow but at least we were able to catch them…🙄

Sunflowers are starting to bloom. I’ve got a few small bunches and a large bunch. Will have more this week. Come grab a bunch to start your week with a little sunshine!!

The bees are having an amazing year. They loved the warmer winter we had and have been swarming and multiplying all over. One of our North Plains neighbors was lucky and had a swarm in his backyard under a trampoline that we relocated to our farm (see previous post), and then he just told me about a hive he found while at work and how it was relocated to a near by farm. What luck to see these beautiful creatures at work!! I can watch bees all day long. Check it out!!

Caught a swarm today from a neighbor that reached out. They landed under the trampoline in their yard. So much fun catching swarms!! This is our first one for the season….. Hoping for lots of honey this year!!

Come grab potted hellebores for your garden while they last!!! Hellebores not only add color to your garden before anything else blooms but they also make an excellent cut flower. The trick is to wait until the pollen drops before you cut them. Helps early pollinators and will last 2 weeks in the vase!!
