2 more weeks until late summer/fall weddings pick up again and I couldn’t be more excited for all my couples this fall!!
I’ve been a little MIA these past few weeks because I decided to take a “slower” summer before my busiest season. It was a great decision. My husband and I have 1 more trip together and then I will be fully immersed with florals till the end of the year. This relaxing period really gets me prepared to work those undesirable hours. So looking forward to it though. It keeps me going and keeps me excited for what I love to do 🌼

I’ve been taking advantage of my “slower” weeks to prep heavily for fall weddings and booking for 2024. Since I had the busiest spring yet, my focus this year was to have a slower summer because once fall comes around there’s truly only time to eat, sleep, design (literally).
It’s funny to me how people always ask what I do when I don’t have events like I don’t have anything to do. Um.. I’m still working. It’s just all the “behind the scenes” stuff that people don’t see. So, what do I do? 👇🏻
~Catch up on emails
~Setup initial consults and meetings to finalize fall wedding florals.
~Update proposals
~Send final invoices
~Final stem counts
~Order flowers and supplies
~Deep clean studio
~Clean, prep vases and candles
~Keep website up to date
I’m sure I’ve missed many. But, I’m also trying to enjoy my summer, my home garden, make more home cooked meals, spend more time with my husband, take more trips, focus on my health, relax, rest, and thank Jesus for getting me this far. The slower weeks also help me rejuvenate for the many weeks in a row where there are multiple events, holidays missed, and constant busyness. I’m thankful for this time 🙏🏻

Happy Earth Day 🌎

Some flower sales do better than others. Last year, I sold out of tulip bunches. So I was like I’ll buy even more for this year. Well, no one seemed to want tulips this year (besides 2 people). So, I decided to leave them in my garden and I will enjoy them for myself (which is totally fine because look how gorgeous). I’m sitting here with my coffee just admiring them right now. Once their cycle is over, I’m planning on saving these bulbs and replanting them around my yard in the fall so that dahlias can take over this spot for the summer. I’m already looking forward to the beauty of next spring!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out this weekend and visited my display. I truly appreciate the people that even went out of their way to pay and come see it. I was glad to meet some of you when I went to freshen up and water the flowers Saturday afternoon. Your support means so much. I’m always so happy to share the beauty and my talents with the world; to see your smiling faces when you see my flowers is enough. I’ve been through a lot of obstacles to get where I am today. I give all the glory to Him because He is the only reason I’ve gotten this far. 🙏🏻
