Hi friends! I’ve noticed an influx of new followers lately, so I thought it might be a good time to re-introduce myself and say thank you!
I’m Kristi, the baker behind Batch Bakehouse. I run a cottage bakery from my home in the Harvest by Hillwood community, where I’ve lived for more than eight years with my two elementary-aged kiddos.
I’ve been doing this for SIX YEARS now, which is still a little wild to me. Baking is actually my second career - I have a graduate degree in counseling/marriage and family therapy and started baking as a hobby during COVID in an attempt to stay (mostly) sane. Somewhere along the way, that little hobby became something I can’t imagine giving up.
I genuinely love what I do. I get to be a small part of birthdays, celebrations, teacher gifts, thank-yous, and random Wednesdays that need a really good cookie. I’ve met some incredible people through baking, all while getting to work from home and be around for my kids. They think having their mom known as “the cookie lady” is pretty cool 😂
This business has grown entirely through word of mouth. Every tag, share, recommendation and “you have to try these cookies” means more than you probably realize. Thank you for sharing my little business with your friends, neighbors, family, coworkers, and anyone else who’ll listen.
If you’re new here, I typically offer cookie pickup days Wednesdays and Saturdays, plus special orders for cookies and cookie cakes.
I’m also in my third year of Teacher Treat Subscriptions, delivering treats to sponsored teachers at local schools once a month September-May. Ordering closes in just a couple of days, so check out my website if you’d like to sponsor a teacher! www.batchbakehousetx.com/shop
If you’ve been waiting to stop by for the first time, the next Cookie Day is Wednesday! Strawberry cheesecake cookies are finally happening, along with coconut cream pie cookies and more. I’ll share the full menu soon!
Whether you’ve been ordering since the beginning or just found me this week, thank you for being here. I’m incredibly grateful I still get to be the cookie lady six years later. 🤍
