So I got this question from a follower last night. I understand I’ve been silent on here (honestly didn’t think anyone missed me) but it’s for a good reason. I’ve been working on some really exciting things behind the scenes but I can’t comment publicly just yet. When it’s signed, sealed and delivered and finally REALLY real, I’ll be telling the world. Until then, I’m enjoying a social media break and a relaxing summer spent with family (and I hope you all are too!) Originally, when I announced we were closing, my family made a bunch of travel plans thinking the bakery would indeed be closed for the foreseeable future. It was meant to be a salve to an otherwise depressing summer, a silver lining to closing our doors. The way fate would have it, that sad announcement generated a lot of publicity I never anticipated and had the effect of opening doors to an incredible opportunity. Now, this summer has simply turned into a brief pause off before RDC goes full throttle again and a chance to hunker down and plan, dream, and build something better. šŸ™šŸ» I hope to be able to tell you all about it soon.
Which brings me back to this follower’s question…This morning at our lake house rental I found this huge coffee mug in the cabinet, in rainbow colors (which is so me) and it felt like a sign I had to share with all of you. So thanks for bearing with me and stay tuned…I can’t say much more just yet but….Good things are coming 🌈 ā˜€ļø ā˜•ļø

A little girl sold the most cookies in her Girl Scout troop and her reward was coming all the way here, to RDC, from Vermont.
I think about that a lot.
I started this thing because I had something to prove; I never expected to become somebody else’s finish line.
And yes, we’re closing soon. But the thing nobody tells you about building something real is it builds you back just as hard.
Thank you for everything.
Stay tuned…I’m going to make sure there’s an Episode 3. šŸŽ¬

Six years ago I was doing cookie pickups out of my trunk with two kids at home and a name my mom gave me when I was young and impossible.
The store came later. So did you.
You kept showing up, every week, every season, every unique flavor drop. You turned RDC into something I did not see coming: a community. A whole ecosystem of people who love and believe in us and want to see us win.
So I owe you the truth.
We’re closing…for now. Not because we failed. But because my dreams for RDC are bigger than this space can hold.
This is episode one in a series where I’ll be documenting the transformation of Rebel Daughter Cookies into something new, exciting, and for my community (that’s you) who have proven what I’ve always believed: it was never just about the cookies. šŸ’—
