🎃🧁 Something deliciously spooky is coming! 🧁🎃

My next Shimmy & Sugar Cupcake Experience is happening Sunday, October 25th at noon, and this one is all about Halloween!

Here’s a little peek at one of the cupcake designs we’ll be playing with. We’ll be working with skulls, gravestones, chocolate molds, buttercream techniques, and lots of fun spooky details. Each person will have cupcakes to decorate and take home.

And because this is Shimmy & Sugar, there will be a little dancing too! 💃

We’ll finish the experience with a simple veil dance to “The Mysterious Violin” — a Halloween-inspired rendition of one of my favorite pieces. I’ll keep the choreography simple enough that even a complete beginner can follow along and enjoy it.

I know its a bit early for Christmas videos but...... Scott and I had a lot of fun with this one. And we won 1st place prize in the filmora contest. The full video is on YouTube. Lately I'm coming back around to cake making more and I'm wondering if we might start having some fun again with creative compilations! You never know. Shimmy and Sugar!

🎃 Halloween is coming to Shimmy & Sugar! 🎃

Our next Cupcake Experience is Sunday, October 25th at noon, and we’re getting a little spooky with our decorating!

You’ll decorate 4 homemade pumpkin cupcakes made by me, using homemade Italian Meringue Buttercream, chocolate skulls and gravestones, and some fun buttercream techniques.

I’ll provide everything you need for the cupcakes and decorating. You just bring white or dark chocolate to use for your molds.

And because this is Shimmy & Sugar, we’ll end the afternoon with something a little unexpected… veil dancing to The Mysterious Violin! It’s a beautiful, simple piece that everyone can learn.

Are you planning your Halloween cakes yet? This one was for a client who was hosting a Halloween party with a Bride theme. It was the coolest party. It's an oldie but goodie. Pretty sure it was chocoalet w chocolate mpousse. YUM!!!

What a wonderful afternoon! 🧜‍♀️🧁

Our 3rd Shimmy & Sugar Cupcake Experience was such a great one. We made little mermaid tails, seashells, and decorated some really beautiful cupcakes. I loved seeing how creative everyone got with them — every one was a little different!

And of course, we couldn’t end the afternoon without a little dancing! We put the cupcakes aside and finished with a little Shik Shak Shok. Because what would a Shimmy & Sugar afternoon be without a little shimmy? 😂

I just want to say thank you to all of you ladies who came and spent the afternoon with me. I really appreciate you taking the time to come, create, laugh, and share the afternoon together.

These experiences have been so special for me to put together, and it makes me happy to see everyone enjoying them.
