On ♥️Valentine's Day♥️ we have to give some love to our cow families around here!
The first group of heifers have begun calving and we are thankful for their God given intuition to raise the next generation!💪🐃💪

It's been a grit your teeth kind of week, everyone got the Thanksgiving crud then, of course, cow show crud— tis the season! We have been religously checking heats on the recip cows so we stage all the embryos correctly. Can make a lot of work for a sick crew!

We put together our next group of AI cows, turned bulls in with the last group of heifers. Getting 1-1/2" of rain overnight was a blessing and gave us a minute to stop watch the water flow and thank God we get the chance to live this life. If you know anything about Oklahoma, it’s D R Y. Very blessed to see some moisture and watch it breathe life back into our herd and many sets of playful, curious hooves!

We've been runnin 90 to nothin' as the fall breeding is in full swing. This week we setup 27 recip cows for embryo transfer and another 20 for AI. We try to keep it to small groups so we can manage the process pretty tightly.

This weekend we're headed to the OSU AGR Winter Bonanza to get our spring borns out for the first time. Everyone is pumped to hit the road for the weekend!

We started sorting for the top cut of stocker steers to be fed out and finished on the ranch for the boxed beef program. We sort hard on phenotype and epd's for marbling, ribeye area and feed conversion. We’ve had glittering reviews on taste and presentation so far— be sure to snag one of our limited edition stale boxes available on the site right now!

We wrapped up the day unloading several tons of feed. Cows gotta eat so we can eat! Cheers to the weekend, everyone!⚡️
