To see something we built here in Missouri sitting on a shelf back where I grew up in South Dakota is pretty freaking surreal.

You know what’s almost as good as winning a huge, life-changing contest yourself? Watching one of your best friends do it. 🧡😭

The Made for KC contest will ALWAYS hold such a special place in our hearts. O.G. Bandits as you know it today wouldn’t exist without this contest and the incredible crew at OHM Concessions Group ( Milan Patel and Richard Chinsammy) Winning it gave us an opportunity we never dreamed of...an 18-month run inside KCI Airport that truly changed our lives.

We were SO bummed the contest fell on the same weekend as our annual Nebraska trip this year. But there we were, sitting in our trailer after vending in Lincoln, watching from afar and absolutely SCREAMING when we saw…

We met Charles Winslow-Bey four years ago when he came to our Bandit Camp, and we pretty much haven’t stopped talking since. 😂 He’s been in our corner ever since, one of our biggest supporters and has become one of our best friends AND one of our sponsored teams.

Last year when Charles took RGC at this contest, we just knew his time was coming. He’s an incredible cook, but more importantly, he’s genuinely one of the kindest and most sincere people you’ll ever meet in BBQ.

SO GOOD that these bad boys were specifically requested for a wedding rehearsal dinner this Friday… IN ANOTHER STATE! 😂

Since we can’t physically make it there to serve them ourselves, we’re smoking them up, freezing them, and overnighting them so they can still make the party!

Because at the end of the day, O.G. Bandits has always been about more than just BBQ. ❤️ It’s about bringing families together, celebrating the big moments, and who you share it with.

Now THAT is some serious Bandit addiction. 😂🔥

We traveled to Cameron, MO this weekend for the 2026 Cameron Elks BBQ Cook Off, and we had so much fun! 🧡🖤

We got there Friday morning and jumped right into cooking dinner for the Elks Lodge while also getting ready to vend to the public. In the middle of all that, we decided to go head-to-head in the one-meat rib competition… and guess who won?! 👀

If you guessed Ashton Christine Smith, you’d be right! 😂🙋‍♀️ She took home 5th place ribs! 🏆

Then came Saturday and the Masters Cook! We turned in four solid boxes-with a little help from our box runner, Charles Winslow-Bey, who came to hang out with us for a bit!

🐖 1st Place Pork with a PERFECT 180!!! 💯🔥

🐔 Won our chicken table and finished 20th 🤨

🐮 2nd on our brisket table and finished 24th 🤔

🐷 12th Place Ribs

🏆 11th Overall!

It was a great weekend filled with lots of cooking, laughs, friends, and BBQ! Thank you, Carl Mcbee and crew, for putting on another great year-we had so much fun and can’t wait to come back! 🧡🖤🔥

Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

We are incredibly blessed to call this country home and never take that for granted. The opportunity to be a minority woman owned business is incredible!
