As some of you that know me on a personal level know we lost our main tractor and the baler a week or so ago. It happened so fast that before I could pull the pin the save the tractor there were flames under the drawbar and I had to back away. Now to this day I am still unsure about a lot of things, the first few days were really stressful what are we going to do we still have hay in the field how will we get through the year. I had insurance but we’ve had problems with that and it isn’t good. That is all besides the point though the lord has promised to provide for us and he has I was able to find a tractor that I’m able to purchase and luckily I have a John Deere baler that needs a little work but can go back to the field. We serve such a great and mighty God who never leaves or forsakes us. We have fought some uphill battles to get our dreams off the ground and although we are having some crash and burn moments we will continue to put our strength in the lord and lean not on our understanding it he knows the plans he has for us and we will continue pressing on and one day this dream shall come to pass. 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Matthew 7:7-8.

Hebrews 10:32-36
32 But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: 33 partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; 34 for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven. 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

This scripture I think could be applied in a lot of ways especially today with such uncertainties and stresses in today’s world. Sometimes we feel like we are just pushing and pushing yet the walls still close in on us. But that pain in that season is the stripping of what is bad and although the growing pains hurt we must endure some sufferings to be able to say that God and only God was able to help us get through. When you are going through things and feel like there is no way out take a step back, pray and let him do work in you because the rewards on the other side are far more great than that growing season.

Short life lesson that will take less than a minute….
The year I turned 18 my dad sent me to an AI and palpation short course. We were in the Beefmaster business and was starting to AI a lot of cattle.
We had a seman tank that had several different bulls of seman in it. Each one of these bulls represented different bloodlines or characteristics that we would match up to the cows we were breeding.
There is a certain place you put the seman before you released it into the cow in order for the seman to “stick” or start growing. In human terms that seman or can I call it that vision or dream has been placed in the cows womb and is now being developed.
In nine months that cow will give birth to the dream or vision you have been waiting on.
That’s what hope is in our life. The Bible says “Faith is the substance of things Hope for, evidence of things not seen”. A lot of time people scream and holler from the pulpit that ”you caint just hope for it, you’ve got to have faith “!! That’s true, but hope is the ingredient that activates your faith.
You see, when I place that seman in the right spot, when that cow is cycling, the egg grabs the seman and they produce the baby calf.
In life, when you speak doubt and fear, it will work in the negative as well as the positive.
God gave us all a measure of faith, so when ever faith comes that way, it will grab ahold of it and start producing what ever you are hoping for. Now listen, what you talk about, dream about, literally what ever comes out of your mouth, your measure of faith, believes that’s what you are wanting and the two ingredients will began to produce. That’s why it’s so important to watch your mouth and your thoughts. Gods measure of faith he planted in you is so strong, it will produce what ever you are hoping for. Start dreaming good dreams of you making it and not the doom and gloom around the break rooms or water and at work. Start speaking out loud who you are in Christ, get alone, look at yourself in the mirror, began to speak life over yourself. Hope is the igniter that starts your faith to work.

Genesis 50:15-21

15 When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph holds a grudge(AD) against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?”(AE) 16 So they sent word to Joseph, saying, “Your father left these instructions(AF) before he died: 17 ‘This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins(AG) and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’(AH) Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.(AI)” When their message came to him, Joseph wept.(AJ)

18 His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him.(AK) “We are your slaves,”(AL) they said.

19 But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?(AM) 20 You intended to harm me,(AN) but God intended(AO) it for good(AP) to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.(AQ) 21 So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.(AR)” And he reassured them and spoke kindly(AS) to them.

Compassion is a hard thing to come by in today’s world. We are so quick to be angry if someone cuts us off in traffic or gets the promotion we were working towards and honestly simply if someone tells us no. But just as Joseph spoke to his brothers we are not god we do not have the rights to take vengeance for someone’s wrong doing that is gods power remember “vengeance is mine saith the Lord”. If anyone had the right to be angry and hold a grudge it was Joseph he was sold into slavery thrown in prison and it seemed like every time he should catch a break he couldn’t but through all that suffering God promoted him in a way I’m sure he couldn’t imagine. We should show compassion even to the people that wrong is because even though it hurts us we don’t know what god may be setting us up to do for them.

I want to apologize to every one who has followed us and been with us since the beginning life has gotten in between me and our ability to provide cows and bulls to sale. I have gone back to working a full time job and that has hurt my ability to keep up with everything. With gods grace and hopefully our new income we will be back and better than the beginning this fall with a great selection of replacement heifers, cows, and bulls.

For all of you that followed us for the devotions I was doing I am so sorry I fell off the wagon and let life get in my way. I will start from now trying to do better wether we sell a single animal again or not, I will continue to spread God’s word through this page.

So I hope you all can forgive my absence and silence we are going to be back better than ever just please hang with us a little longer.
